Any GM Techs, Automotive Guru's...

Well, Your problem is nothing compared to what I am currently dealing with.

So back in August I had a tire blow out on me. The tire took out the filler neck to my DEF tank among other things. I tell them to double check to make sure that the connection on the other end at the tank itself was in good shape. Had a similar issue with the Girlfriends Mustang after an accident.
The find out that the DEF tank was indeed damaged, So it was replaced.
Pick the truck up at the body shop and within a hour the Check Engine Light comes on.
Take it to my Diesel Mechanic and he lets me know it is DEF related, mentions if when you replace the tank you have to prime the pump/ heater element.
Take it back to the Body Shop and they replace the pump/ heater assembly, everything works, and I tow the trailer to the dunes (220 miles) plus make another non-towing trip.
Now I am having to make a Bonzi run to the dunes to pick up my car (another story) but first going to change the oil.
Just before the oil change the Check Engine Light comes back on. Have to wait two weeks to get the car in, find out again I have DEF codes.
This time it is the DEF injector is bad and the tank is not building pressure, We fix the DEF Injector but the tank will have to come down to fix why it isn't building pressure. Again, I have to wait two weeks.
So today they take the tank down, find that when they installed the tank the pinched the line, plus did not assemble the pump/ heater correctly. Once they opened the tank, they see lots of shinny stuff, guess when they burnt up the pump/heater they didn't clean out the tank.
So now I am out almost $3500 dollars and am hoping to get re-imbursed from the insurance company.

You're a good man.

When I worked at the dealership, I would frequently see vehicles written up as a warranty repair, only to find out, the vehicle just came out of the body shop.

Sorry Mr. Customer, accident damage is not a factory defect!

😜
