ABC's truck broken into, last night

Neighbor across the street got hit 5 days ago.. took him for about 8k worth of plumbing tools (pro press etc)
My cameras (4k) captured the whole thing, but no good to anyone when you can't read the license plate. Standard 2k, 4k HD whatever camera cannot read licenses (most of the time)
BUT another neighbor a few doors down has a dedicated purpose built license plate security cam. It's all it's good for. It logs EVERY car that goes by, categorizes them depending on how often it reads that specific plate number (neighbors, delivery trucks, etc) and it flags first time cars as "never seen before" Its SUPER trick and I'm trying to get more info on the system.
For what its worth, we gave the cops the license plate from the neighbor with the fancy camera and they said they cant go after the guy since they don't for sure it was the registered owner that committed the crime (? What do cops actually do these days?????)
... They wouldn't give us the address of the owner of the plate either so we cant go door knocking.

LPR Cameras cost a lot of money. All other cameras don't help. And I don't know if the cops care once the License plate is read. Peace

I have several WYZE cams. The standard service is free, and really all you need. Happy with them.
Just make sure you put memory cards in all the cameras.

I put 3 cameras in my tree at the end of my driveway, up the street, down the street and across the street,.. they pick up the plate as they're only 10-15 feet away.. just a few feet from the curb.
Today, cop asked if we had plates for my break-in.

WTF are they needed for then...hate that kind of response. Frustrating!
I hope you never pass out in the dunes, making that joke while super damn funny will have KARMA ensure the planets are aligned for a certain person be first on the scene when you need CPR, mouth to mouth...

That's the short version. That was a pretty long night. Guy screamed at the top of his lungs forever. I really thought I was gonna go to jail for it but nothing ever happened.
