@Sean@Weddle  What if I put an S4 in a project like this? Then I could get the motor way back. 934 CVs in the back. Not sure about hubs and mounting 934s on the Morrison 4 bar suspension setup. Anything can be built right? lol. 

 
You could put the motor way back and have a Turbo 400 pointed toward the front going into a V drive.  Offset the diff to the side of the rear axle and have a nice long drive shaft.  I would do that before dealing with a S4 and CV's.

IIRC the roadkill guys did a vdrive setup of some sort and they are limited on HP. Especially on the street and not water. 

 
I do have a feeling if the motor is up front in the stock location and the full roll cage up there it will be hard to have enough weight in the back of the truck. 

 
I am not opposed to some sort of 5 or 6 speed manual trans that is shorter than an auto. Linkage could be the issue?

You are right. After dealing with buggies for so long. Can't believe I would even consider it. I bet I could break them even faster on the street.

The new Nascars are running a rear mounted sequential transmission on IRS. Not sure who builds them but I think they could hold the HP.

I am not really seeing anywhere I can buy a beefy v drive to hold up to some power. Would be cool though. 
I know there are trophy trucks running v-drives. I will see the owner of the A100 on Thursday, I will ask him about the V-drive set up he used. He wouldn't have used it if it wouldn't hold the amount of HP he plans on running through it.

That would be awesome. Changes everything if it can be done. So I assume the motor and trans have to be mounted a little higher for the driveshaft to come back underneath. Some pics of his setup would be awesome.

The drive shaft is offset to the side which is why the diff will end up not centered on the rear end.  The V drive will handle the power no problem.  Colorado sand Cars does a truck called the V3 that uses that system.  Look at the link below as well as the 3 or for pictures after it using the right arrow on the pic.

That is so  :col:  I do have a message into Chris and Art Morrison. I will ask about an offset diff housing from them as part of the package. 

 
But offsetting the housing looks like it would bring up issues with the 4 link suspension. Another question for Chris. https://artmorrison.com/news/category/components/4-link/  I imagine a setup like this may never have been done by them. If you look at the rear end on the Colorado SC truck the trailing arms or whatever you call those bars are attached way at the outside. On the Morrison 4 bar setup those bars run more straight parallel to the frame rails. Interesting.

Race seat like above probably not good for a daily driver. The Corbeau A4 has great reviews and lots of guys running them in Corvettes. I even thought of looking into a set of stock C5 Vette seats. Anyone know where I can go sit in a one of these in Phoenix?



 
I'll see if I can get some pics of the offset, can't remember if the diff is offset or not.
