I have no problem once a day stopping at a destination, but not every stop needs to be a destination, especially when you see the same people at each stop. Love stopping in the middle of nowhere and having a ICB and hanging.dune destination sites are dumb, what happened to just stopping out in the sand and enjoying the view? My group always wants to go to some stupid spot, i just want to dune and have fun, i have no need to be seen or see others.
In theory you are right, but this is not a plan, this is random people creating future trash. Then the element of people that all they do all day long is sit at these destinations and consume many ICB's, and then the nighttime crowd that just leaves all their trash. This isn't sustainable and eventually becomes an issue.I don't see the issue with having destination spots (Swingset) in the dunes. It gives folks a spot to meet up at and enjoy their time there.
I have yet to go to Swing-set (which is one of our normal stops) and not see people enjoying the Swing-set, playing volleyball, using the Tetherball setup...is that not all part of the experience in Glamis....enjoying being in the dunes. I see kids running to the Swing-set to use it....what is so wrong with that?
I concur, but the same could be said for Olds, Brawley Slide, Comp, Flag Pole etc.....point is when does it stop....meaning BLM from destroying it all and closing G down.In theory you are right, but this is not a plan, this is random people creating future trash. Then the element of people that all they do all day long is sit at these destinations and consume many ICB's, and then the nighttime crowd that just leaves all their trash. In the big picture, life isn't about the destination, it is about the journey. Go enjoy the sand.
But if you went to swingset and didn’t post it on social media, did you really go???dune destination sites are dumb, what happened to just stopping out in the sand and enjoying the view?
