So, assuming fuel prices increase as much as people think, anyone doing anything about it? Buying a shitbox commuter? Moving (closer to work, out of state)? Taking some Fuckitol and preparing your sphincter for much damage?

Its gonna drop in price and newsom will need more money for budget to they will say gas is cheap lets tax it again.LOL

Contemplating a Fusion Hybrid. Low teens all day long with lower miles and the 2017+ are pretty damned reliable.

Mustang gets mid 20s if I try. But I don’t, lol.

I can't believe here in TX Diesel is $3.19 and 93 Octane Fuel is $3.09. It's out of control. I'm staying right here! Enjoy the wonders of SoCal. I'll fly into Diego and let friends drive me around. Peace

I miss the days of $3.99 a gallon gas! LOL!
I just paid $3.75 for regular, $4.05 for 91 at the Costco here. Fillup at about 0600 when the line is nonexistent.

Yore buying a lifestyle, lay off the medication and enjoy the investment.

3.75 is not too bad.

Be a man and get a Prius. The newer body style looks nice and you don't have to worry about being considered the worst driver on the road as Tesla owners now hold that title.

Never have i ever been too concerned with fuel prices. Cant do chit about it and i want to go where i want to go when i want to go.

Now all this saying i have had a company truck and gas card for 30 years now. So what little i use on the weekends dont matter to me.

Years ago when diesel hit the ungodly amount of $5 per gallon the dunes were empty, smelled better as well. Keeping the unwashed masses in the courtyards of apartment complexes or on couches in the front yards of trailer parks is the Lord’s work.

Prius gets great mileage, isn’t slow and doesn’t look terrible.

But that roofline is meant for the shorter of stature. It’s also expensive.

Yeah. I’m spending about $8-9k a year on fuel now, not including desert stuff. If the refineries shut down as threatened and gas increases to $7, that puts me in the $13-14k/year range.

Even if gas stays static, if I can put half the miles we spread across the vehicles onto something efficient, that’s $2400/year ish in savings, not including consumables savings. It gets to the point where it starts penciling out, and lets me save the other vehicles for what they do best (haul shit or haul ass).
