Rookie is an understatement, He recently pitched his first MLB game on 9/15/25.

2025 Season and Postseason
  • MLB Debut: Was promoted to the major leagues on September 15, 2025, making his debut against the Tampa Bay Rays.
  • Regular Season: Made three regular-season starts, recording one win and a 3.21 ERA in 14.0 innings pitched.
  • Postseason Performance: Became the first pitcher in MLB history to record his first two career 10-strikeout games in the postseason. In Game 5 of the World Series, he pitched seven innings with 12 strikeouts and no walks, a performance that set multiple records.


Career highlights and future outlook

  • Record-breaking Rookie: Became the first rookie in World Series history to strike out five consecutive hitters and had the most strikeouts by any rookie in a single postseason ever.
  • Pitching Style: Known for his 93-95 mph fastball, a deep slider/cutter, and a splitter, he also has a bulldog mentality on the mound.
 
Yesavage started the year pretty much in Rookie ball, pretty unheard of to climb the ladder that fast. He was amazing. That being said, the Dodgers look terrible right now.

Man do we miss Vesia, those outs we need in a high leverage situation are not coming, Vesia was our guy for that. But either way, you don't win scoring 1 run.
 
The Dodgers body language was like an early August Tuesday afternoon getaway game in Miami. Someone should remind them its the World Series. Game 3 seems to have sucked the life right out of them. The core guys (Freeman, Betts, Muncy, Kike, Teoscar) are all over 32 years old. And Will Smith, like all catchers, will just start to fade away. This is our best chance for a repeat. Some sort of re-tooling (for position players, pitching seems ok) is likely on the horizon. Hopefully, they figure it out fast and make a last stand.
