I spend my entire life riding quads at glamis until I bought a rzr in 2014. I had a lot of fun but thought my riding days were over with the cage in my life.
Last week at the Idaho Dunes, I had the chance to ride a friend's built Honda 450r and it has me considering building a new one just to have some fun on once in a while.
I am a little removed at this point, and it looks like some of the parts are tough to come by with the SXS taking over as the dominating rides in the dunes these days. Question being;
I always lean to the race side of things. I like the race parts and performance as well as the look. However, I am leaning towards building a Banshee this time around. I have access to some really clean machines at a reasonable price. It would be roll design/elka/carbon beadlocks, etc.
I am used to the handling and power of more modern fuel injected four strokes, and really enjoyed my air time. Will I be disappointed if i go the Banshee route? What else am I missing?
