Or go above and see about 6.5prc. Suppose to be a damn good round and suppose to better ballistics than 300wm past 500 yards.

IMO if you learn to use your rifle and use good ammo it will work good.get the psa upper use it replace barrel later with a better one later down the line.

I don’t get caught up in the chrome lined barrels either.regular barrel has done me well on my armalite. Been a great shooter for last 25 years. When I go to range I see many with fancy stuff shooting the cheapest ammo and a lot struggle to hit the 200 yard target consistently.

I went 450BM when picking a big bore. At the time, it was considerably cheaper to shoot.
 
Guess I didn't mention it, this is going to be a truck gun, something I can carry in the cab as I go back n forth from C to Az.

I guess a 10 is probably not the 1st choice and a 15 would be better but I thought a 308 would be good to carry.

They have a black and ODG charging handle too. Out of stock on the BCG but the one from BCS is $169 and will work.
 
Placed an order for a .308 complete Aero upper, added a charging handle and bolt carrier group (bcg)

The one I posted was sold out so I chose one like it but a few bucks more. This was supposed to be a budget build but all in I'll be about $850.

I have a Vortex scope in the safe and I think Ill use it for this build though It's not a close up and personal/tactical - I think it starts at 4 power. I may use this as a plinker and possibly for hunting and make one of my 15's for the truck gun with a lower power scope. We'll see. I'll post up pics once I receive the goods

.308 for close up. Na I’d keep a 5.56 for that and the new set up for 200 and out.
 
At this point IM PISSED!!!!! Id be weary of placing an order with Aero Precision!!!!!!!

Placed the order Nov 26th, got an email saying Thank you for your order. NOTHING else. No order number, no conformation number, nothing.

Today is Dec 2nd - still nothing! I know thanksgiving was in there but nothing?

Was 'on hold' for the live chat help on the website, started #92 in the que,,,,,missed my turn. Got back in line, now #151, took too long and I had to leave the house.

Called them and got recording - No one is available to take your call.

Can't log in. The reset password doesn't work (incase I forgot mine)

Then get you have made too many attempts to login,,,,

It’s the busiest time of year and have a huge sale going. I’m sure they are slammed.
This isn’t unheard of in this industry. I made an ammo order last year about this time. Never got anything from them even saying my order went through. Order showed up
At my door and that was the end of it lol.

Not saying it’s right but you don’t need to worry.
