Yes, protesters are paid. But Taxes paid?

I want to know their employment status, 1099, W2 or cash. And then the ones that cross state lines, are they paying state taxes in all the states. IRS needs to crack down on this thievery.

If you get shot on the job, are there survivor benefits?
