Working or not working between Christmas and New Years?

Wife took the shifts of a fellow nurse that has a young family.
Wife retires next week because she extended to help others.

Wife walk into the house this morning from work with a stack of presents from the nurses she would always trade shift for so they could be home with their kids at Christmas and other special family times. (They would never reciprocate and trade for her).

Maynard is off for Two Weeks home helping me with projects he disagrees with, all the other kids have gone skiing all over the world.
 
Two weeks off. Staff paid plus bonus for all.
Couple of office staff were happy to come in for a few hours today to process payroll and follow-up/push off some emails until the 6th.

Tis the season for bid and proposal work. Govt likes to dump everything off right before the holidays start.

Out at G right now, friend has Starlink and makes it easy.

Yup they take what %42 of the bonus, so I really really hope the non tax on bonus goes thru
 
I cover the income tax on our employee bonus.
It becomes my income tax burden. I have all the write-offs and it just makes sense to do it this way.
Small business benefits I guess.

Work at a big corp, but we always consider the tax implications on bonuses and keeping it from the employees wherever possible. Luckily all the shareholders are family and have to work in the company, so what’s good for the goose and all.
 
Took Tuesday off because I was sick, had Xmas day off, then took yesterday off because I was still sick. I worked today although I probably shouldn't have, I never take days off of work. I'll get 2 sick days plus the holiday so my check will be pretty normal.
 
Working, gave my lead inspectors, production manager and lead tech off. So I am covering for them. Gave half day on Christmas eve, Christmas and new years day off. Busy time of year in aviation. Thankful to be busy but definitely missing the sand. Gotta make money to spend the money. Have a blessed 2025..
 
boss was off friday before christmas, and so was I....... he said i'm off until the 2nd, and soooooooooooo am I!
