Wife says her car drives funny

I am going to take it to Tireman after t day to see if it needs an alignment
If you rotated her tires, this would have been obvious a while ago. Some accidents are avoidable.

According to the latest statistics reported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), tire blowouts cause 78,392 accidents, 10,275 injuries, and more than 400 deaths each year.

I owned a Hunter machine and really enjoyed doing alignments. You don't need the latest equipment just competent people doing them.

I really enjoyed doing them when I worked for Lexus. Most of their cars were caster, camber and toe adjustable on the front, AND camber and toe adjustable on the rear!

You could make those cars go straight as an arrow, if put some time into it.

I had a lady tell me one time, her car didn't drive straight. I looked the car over, and noticed a chunk missing out of the RF wheel. When I pointed it out, she Insisted we must have sold her the car that way. 🙄

When I said, let's go for a drive, so you can show me what's wrong?

First thing she does...

Is hit the curb while making a right hand turn.

She left a bit upset after the test drive...

What really fun is when the car owner is looking for performance and wishes something more than factory spec's. I did all our front, rear and four-wheel alignments. Owned a collision repair shop and almost every car spent time on machine for prior to returning to customer.

Life is all about timing.. guess what shows up three days after I buy tires for her stock wheels.. lol

Most people recommend an alignment, After you put new wheels and tires on.

But it's best to do it the very same day.

Best practices and all that jazz. 😎

they should be on by now lets see pics

This was actually part of the silent auction at supercat my wife bid on them and won without me knowing.. lol

Much to her surprise I bid on the other set and won without her knowing.. 😳. I was trying to surprise her with a set of wheels for her car.. she was basically buying a set of wheels for her car. Lol

We had that once.
We sent the tire to Michelin and this was their findings:

"Americas Tire did an incorrect puncture repair causing inflation air to migrate between the tred ply's causing the separation."

Could be several other reason this happens too.
When the wife says somethings ain't right about the cars handling or brakes,, she always been 100% right.

I've seen good toe and many many bad toe.
Good toe is best.

Wear just on the inside tread block is almost always a toe issue, probably combined with a lower tire pressure if there's also some outer treadblock wear. Camber would wear it more evenly across the face of the tire. Outside tire wear is usually toe in (or WAAAAY too much cornering with not enough camber, like a track day), inside is toe in.

Definitely get that alignment checked. Could also be something worn out causing good alignment, but bad wear since the tech isn't checking alignment at 60mph with the suspension loaded. :D
