Which 35ft toyhauler?? - UPDATE

You may want to upgrade to 16 inch wheels.  Mine was already done and the axles were flipped as well.

@SANDBAM was doing the upgrade last we talked. He may have some insight on whats needed or not needed on switching to 16's and what he was buying.

Congrats on the purchase. They are great trailers.  Love to see a photo or 2!!!
Congrats on the purchase ! And as@Grease Monkey said let’s see some pictures !

These trailers are the best built out there IMO - this dune chaser is my third one -

I swapped out the stock 15s for 16s - (15s are for sale with 2019 Goodyears in great shape driven only 500 miles after install from previous owner )

I had it all done at discount tire - and they recommended shop.redline360.com - many wheel choices in various price levels

I chose the Raceline Arsenal 840 - The wheel size is 16x6 zero offset - lug pattern 6 on 5.5 spacing with 225 75 16 Michelin Agilis Crossclimate - E rated  - they clear the wheel well and don’t rub- I’ll keep this trailerat stock height , axles won’t get flipped

Im happy with the result - really changed the appearance -

I have an 09 3500 pulling it

goos luck with your setup 👍🏼

Finally picked it up today.  Super excited to get started on some small upgrades and fixes. All led interior lights and detailing the exterior.  Also need to service the generator.  Previous owner surprised me by adding new batteries and a brand new convection microwave this week before we picked it up.  Woo!

I sold .. threw away my 08 SS2500 .. and bought the same year used for $14.5k.. 5th.. I think ALL TH's are garbage.. .. particle board, blade fuses,.. crap.. but I love my WW.. I don't see why spending $75k on something I only use 30-60 days per year would change my opinion.. yup.. tires.. I recommend solar.. I'm as warm (or as cold with AC) as anyone with an expensive 5th.. I just think if you're comfortable .. it's just 'window dressing.'

I don't ever seeing owning a 'close to' 6 figure rig.. rather dump the money in the toys.. but that's just me... I'm used to the WW platform.. I get how they work.. blah blah.. Also .. I hate sliders.. more crap to break.. I'll never own a Lance or trailer with slides.. but again.. as an old man ex-tent camper.. even my 'old' WW is like the marriot.. have a place to get out of the weather.. shower.. poop.. throw up..

.. I'm good.

Congratulations on the new trailer , It sure is a nice looking trailer. I have a old 31 ft WW 5th wheel and it's had some minor issues . I understand the older ones were built better, Like everyone said just replace the carb on the generator for next to nothing and she will start right up. Buying a new one is insanely crazy. That truck will pull it without any issues.Best built Toy hauler i ever owned was a Carson, I believe they never made a 5th wheel. That Carson was built great, insulated right and built solid .

Very nice Kade.

Put leveling on your list. Looks nose high. It will tow better when leveled out

Oh it's definitely nose high.  Hitch needs adjusted and I had too much air in my bags. I'm hoping to not have to flip the axles.  Overall height is already right at 13'

Ha.. no that was just the day I bought the used 5th and my buddy took away the bumper tow that had water damage.

Paid $33,500 new for the bumper tow in 2008, bought the same year, but 5th about 2 years ago for $14.5k.

So pretty much rolled off the assembly line same year, but I bought them 12 years apart.

The bumper one had 2800 gen hours. Scored on the 5th as it only had 175 hours.. basically it was barely used for a decade.

PS. But my current set up, does require 2 tow vehicles. One for the 5th and 1 RZR, Another for the box and 2nd RZR.

You should put a hit on the back of that 5vr and Tow doubles.

Not in California right? Didn’t think you could., but maybe I’m thinking 2 bumper tows.. don’t know the rules honestly.

I’m not a fan of ‘towing’… had I’d know I was gonna run 2 RZRs, I’d a bout another bumper tow and a camlever rack … put 1 razor over the truck bed and on in the TH.

Back to the 2 box shuffle…

🤪🤦‍♂️😬

Got the axles flipped on the trailer.  I was really hoping not to go this route but I didn't have an option.

The truck has a 4" cognito on 35s but it's only a 1" block in the rear.

While the truck is not hooked up, the jacks are set at the height of the truck to give you an idea

That's how mine sits. My truck has the cognito 6 inch lift set at 4 inches and my trailer axles are flipped. It's perfect IMO.

Only issue is the first or last step🤣 entering or leaving the RV.

And I believe the first trailer has to be a 5'er and under 28' 6".

Dam I didn’t know about the 28’6” rule. Every body is breaking that lol.

Last time I went to the DMV they said I still had all of my endorsements. Which should be a mistake 🤔

You can, but there is a lot of "DMV stuff" that goes along with it.  one of the guys in my group does it.  He has a 5th & a small flatbed.  He has a Commercial with several endorsements from a previous job, he just kept up on the stuff he needs for his setup.  JMHO............... its a PITA, and most cops truely dont know all of the laws or how to interpret them (who does really.............  LOL).
