What's your opinion/take on the efforts of DOGE?

You don't have to "like" someone to respect them. Elon has built an empire. The dude is smart, innovative, risk taker and is at the forefront of breaking technological advancements. If you can't see that, you're just another follower blinded by hate for one man.

Applauding and finding joy in a man's failure to make mankind better and explore where others don't/won't, is Beta male activities. Compare SpaceX's record to NASA's for failures. Elon is killing it!

I am more disappointed that once again....the GOP is fucking it all away by choosing the swamp and lining their pockets instead of codifying and implementing the good work created by DOGE.

Not blinded by any hate. However, if you ask me I’d say he has relied on real experts to do the work (Hello Gwynne Shotwell) while an effective PR team presented him as figurehead / genius innovator.

Regarding the rockets, the Falcon 9 is awesome, but the one that blew up the other day is intended to carry humans to the moon and beyond, so until they get some successful launches that demonstrate reliability . . . Also, he won't make it to Mars in his lifetime.

Wasn't the Tesla to be completely self driving by 2020? I hear they are finally going to roll out a few robo taxis in Texas later this year so we'll see. Lots of unsold Cyber Trucks available if you want one.

Starklink: good.

Boring Company, Hyperloop, Neuralink: not so good.

I don't usually agree with Mac publicly anymore, but this is most definitely a low IQ, Beta Male statement. I know plenty of Millionaires and highly successful people that love what Elon has done and is doing. Those that don't like him seem to collectively make bad choices in life and rely on others for their survival or success.

I find it ABSOLUTELY hilarious that people like you spend your entire life and a lot of bandwidth here, Idolizing and putting basic ass Musicians on a pedestal... somehow making them seem far more important than they could ever be... while in the same narcissistic breath you belittle someone that puts shit into Space, better than NASA. What "musician" has rescued people from a Space Station? NONE. Yet, those drugged out, groupie banging slobs are the people we should be IDOLIZING instead?

HELL. NO.

Really? How does a grown man even write this shit? This is gd.com not 4Chan and we simply havea a difffence of opinon . . .

A lot of Americans don’t give two shits about any of that and think it’s awesome that he devoted his time to help cut out some of the bureaucratic bullshit that has taken over our government.

What was yore opinion of him and his accomplishments prior to him voicing his support for Trump??

When you had your Pest Control business, you just wildly spent money without any accountability whatsoever and let it all ride?

I don't think so, in any way shape or form... 🤣
My Amazon refunds from 5 years ago say yes.... 🤪

But to the point, "anti"-musk... Aka... Musk haters...
Anytime the word Musk is spoken, you can go to the comments and read pages and pages of people talking about he didn't do this, he didn't invent that, he ain't this, he can't that.
It's almost as bad as Trump derrangement syndrome...

I really feel like he tried to give back to our country. Just because he can get favorable contracts, inside info, etc etc doesn't mean that it wasn't genuine... Nobody claimed he was a saint..

I’m not convinced Elon was / is using DODGE for altruistic purposes for the country. Seeing his minions access and rifle through the data of every American citizen and .gov agency leaves me a bit suspicious as to what they could use that data for. And if I remember from the campaign, he said he’d find trillions to trim and then kept reducing his target for cutting spending — from $2 trillion to $1 trillion to $150 billion, which was absurd when first announced and finally became a pittance compared to the size the federal budget.

As I stated in my other post, I think he's had a great PR team and his accomplishments came on the backs of truly talented people who did the actual work. I should also note that none of this would have been possible if not for loans / tax credits / subsidies from the .gov. Prior to Space X and Tesla one shoud also remember he was booted twice from what became PayPal for a lack of a cohesive business model and his managerment stye. Within a year of his ouster, PayPal became very successful and was sold to ebay in 2001 for $1.5 bilion in stock. Elon pocketed over $175 million.

I’ve actually been on the Elon is not a genius bandwagon for at least a decade when my attention was drawn to his fan boys online who were rallying around his self-driving car (and other) proclamations, never mind that the technology available at the time in no way supported his assertions, which made him look ridiculous if taken at face value. They did make him very, very rich however.

I was hopeful but like everything the government does it's making everything we do VERY inefficient. Stuff that use to take 1 hr and 1 person is now taking weeks with a dozen people to complete
