Thought i would share current working, directions, goals and ambitions.
The site is officially mine. Dave and Chris have been paid in full. All socials will be aligned soon with the board and my control.
New Ca LLC has been obtained and will be working on the banking side of it all the next few weeks.
The site.... Plans to gear it up with a focus on technical threads, builds, up-fits, Glamis news, Glamis events, have a calendar again, work with many in the industry and build those relationships.
The community, not changing much if anything. Will add a welcome to the site link with community guides and rules. Continue with welcoming new members, engage and support as we grow. Other changes to come I'm sure but nothing pressing for now.
Socials: Use socials to drive membership. Content will be teased on the socials, full content will be on the site.
Advertisement and sponsors: Site driven. Any socials being used for advertisement must be a sponsor on the site. Tiered sponsorship with 3 levels. More to come.
Classified. Working on this with plans to co-op with an existing platform.
A store: Yes we will have a store and plan to have all the usual GD stuff. Future store plans-ambitions could lead to other things dependent on dealer agreements etc.
Ambitions: Content creators, members issued 360 cameras and mounts. Editing and posting. Sand drag content, Olds hill content day/night. Holiday mayhem and the like. Attend all the regattas, get content, share and support those that support Glamisdunes.com. Cleanup events, GD events, gatherings etc. Work with the BLM and of course Glamis Veterans. We will be one of the biggest supporters of GV and the ceremony if I can help it.
Bring a lot of it back to this site. Socials have dissolved so much of this with many different pages to be a member off. Then all all the smaller pages for lost n found and the like.
Members: Need your support, help, and drive to see this happen. Without you what do we have.
Staff: I'm going to need some help.
What I am looking for:
1 Admin to see thru the daily workings. Manage Moderators and members needs.
2 Moderators to manage posts, forums and members.
Need to be an active member. Plan to stay active and support the members and site growth. Taking applications
PM me if yore interested. Admin and mods will meet once a month at a minimum via a zoom meeting to go over the site, and activities.
Existing mods, feel free to reach out and we can discuss. Plan is to drop the specific forum mods and have a few mods handle the site and members. Not that much going on right now and this Zenforo seems to handle most of the spam and other background BS.
