Selling this truck and going to put a more updated and larger wheel on it. What should I put on there to appeal to the buyers out there. I just feel the 15" Halibrands are dated. Was thinking somewhere in the 18"-20" range. Thanks

Imo style is more important than size. The wheel for your dodge is good looking, but I'm not sure it would look right on this truck.

I agree that the larger wheel will appeal to a wider/younger audience,  but I dig the 15s....

17” is easiest/cheapest to get tires for. I wouldnt change a thing on that truck though. Its very period/style perfect. Anything you add like a 20” wheel would be open to personal preference. I’d let the buyer handle that. I dont think you would add any value to the truck by spending 1k$ on a set of wheels

The truck looks great.  I followed the build when you first posted it.

Maybe list the truck and offer and “allowance” for buyers who want something different.

On a side note, I had met your dad several times, as my in laws built and lived across the street from him at Mormon Lake.

Random, but I'm trying to sell my RS5 to buy a C10 - wanting something I can go cruise with my dad in. - if anyone wants to trade, let me know?  Worth ~ 40k:

That wheel looks good on there.  I'm still not a fan of the no sidewall look on a truck, but I'd drive the hell out of that.

Serious question....  can you get some sidewall on a 20" tire?  Maybe twice as much sidewall?

I'd assume so - and agreed, that truck would look better with more sidewall...not mine, i grabbed that pic from bring a trailer.com

Every pic posted with 20s looks great to me.

$2k+ for a set of Apex like my A100 project. To me those would look amazing on this truck.

That is cool. Sold my wifes TT and bought her a 370z. A year later she still misses the Audi.

RS5 or its little brother the s5 - years with the V8's (2013-2015 for the RS5, and I think 2008 to 2011 for the S5? - are awesome cars for the money.  I had an S5 before, and eventually upgraded to the RS5.  All wheel drive camaro with an 8900 redline is how i describe it to my chevy friends...amazing cars and most people don't know what they are, it's the other reason I like them. (nice having something people have never seen or heard of before)...TT's are cool too, but more stylish for a wifes car.

Summary = get the wife an RS5 and drive it :).

Agree 100% - A good looking wheel / tire combo can make or break a vehicles look. This trucks look and stance are outdated. I would discount the price to the buyer and let them choose their style.

back when i was in the mini trucking scene normally the first thing the person would do when they bought a truck was change the wheels, wheels are a personal preference, and it makes the person feel like its more their truck now. to me that truck would be perfect on bags and 20's maybe even staggered 20s and 22s

you might get more attention with a set of 20s on it but i doubt you would get more money for it just because of the wheels.

Guess it all depends on the end user

I would leave as is and use wheels like a paint and carpet allowance

Leave as is, buyer will have their own preference.

Perhaps it's simply priced high or market is slow... :dunno:

Great truck.
