What do you dislike about Glamis?

GLAMIS WEATHER
I can't stand the ego show of memorials and attractions. It's all garbage in my opinion. I was fine with Chuck Boardman's when it was the only one but when the next plaque was added, I knew it was the start of the me too flood. I'd like to see Glamis bare of all of the monuments to human occupation. Humans have felt the need to leave proof of their presence for all of recorded history, be it graffiti, cairns, petroglyphs, statues, etc. I remember when we all went to glamis to ride in the most amazing place. Before toy haulers, mid/long travel rails, side by sides. I don't like what its become.

I would like there to be a tunnel under the tracks to Boardmanville from the Washes. I heard about the one under wash 10 years ago. If we could get that back I would love to roll over there

that it's four hours away, I would prefer to have it in my backyard!

that there is not more parking on the 7 mile road to the pads, would love more circles of asphalt

that i cant stay longer--that's my fault

that organized racing is tough to make happen (too many loopholes to jump through)

that you cant swim in the canal

closures between Glamis and the south dunes

-Trash left behind is the biggest issue....too may azzhats that just leave their trash / beer cans etc. wherever the F they stop is BS!
But we all know there is no way to stop it unfortuanetly....some humans are just that TRASH!

-If you build a kiddie track for your kids, I get it, my girls were little once too riding their Yamaha 80's...but set some damn safety cones up so folks can know there's a hazard there especially at night....and when the weekend is over, knock it down the best you can.

I have to find a few pictures if I can. It was an afternoon up to sunset hill. The wind had blown and nothing but ripples ahead and our tracks behind, Off weekend and not late enough for the crowds. We stopped and I could not believe the edges of beer cans poking up thru the ripples, the pistachio shells, the baby wipes and the overall condition as far as my eyes could focus. It was sad to see. For that matter, I don't think posting the photos would help in the big picture. Just hurt us and get used against us.

The little things that you may think is natural or biodegradable thats gets thrown into the sand are far from natural in the ISDRA,

People not picking up after themselves. The past season we stopped at the Disco Ball on the way to Duners Diner and the place had beer cans and trash everywhere.

The LAM!(look at me) folks with matching egos & 20 gopros for Insta/snap/FB/tictoc/Youtube postings to facilitate even more ego boosting.
Keeping up withe the Jones' isn't my M.O. I don't need anyones approval. I go for the fun & thrill.

Selfish people.

They are the ruin of a special place like Glamis Sand Dunes.

The POS Slobs that leave trash behind because it's inconvenient to dispose of.

Land hogs, that take up space others could use to camp, either because they want some extra elbow room or simply too lazy to take their stuff home or storage.

Camp racers that can't wait an extra 5 minutes to open it up, endangering others around them in congested areas (not just camp).

And the worst, the narcissistic type that believes everything and anything they are doing is above anyone else at all times...the "ME" aholes.

We camp allot all over, and when we do (outside Glamis as well)..I try my best to keep anyone in my camp from those behaviors.
