When I was in High School our schools theme was Scottish, we even had bag pipes as part of the marching band. Every year they would do a senior talent show. Well I was in the garage band as well as a couple other guys in our class. It was our idea to play this song at the talent show and as the pipes come in have the Pipe Corp come walking into the Gym. We would have gone down as legends...

But they scrapped the talent show our junior year

Saw them open for Slash & Myles Kenedy, not great just average.

Can't blame the guys in LP for wanting to continue though. Just because one guy wanted out doesn't mean the rest have to suffer. I would not be surprised that they tried to come out with a new name and the people with the purse strings said there in no market for {insert band name} but Linkon Park, we can market that.
