What Are You Listening To

On this day in 1981 "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)" by Christopher Cross hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and stayed there for 3 weeks

Back in the day (late 80s), I used to see a guy who drove an early 70s Caddy Eldorado Convertible around and in sick on mailbox letters across the trunk lid it said "Wilson Pickett is the Greatest".  This just popped up in my feed and damn, he may been right.

Molly !  She's awesome and this cover with the costumes is next level.  Funny story:  My singer songwriter friend's wife has alopecia and and is very active in the community.  They have a summit every year and a few years ago Molly attended and befriended said friends wife.  So she and my friend are talking about what they do and music comes up. My friend had no clue who she was and told her he could help her with getting local gigs.  She was very nice about letting him know she didn't need any help and we have had several good laughs about it since then.

Starting Friday off with a power pop gem

I don't think I've heard this song in 20 years. I've had it stuck in my head now for 4 days... I literally woke up this morning singing it.

Didn't know it was a war song as a young man. Pretty fitting for the times .

Just a reminder that Linda Ronstadt was hot AF and could sing the chit out of a song.  Peas . . .

Ok little background on this. Floor Jansen is the singer, she was asked to sing for this band "Nightwish" after they got rid of their last singer who sucked. (They parted ways)

Floor, was called up by one of the band members....asked if she could meet them in Seattle, (She's in Europe btw) here's a set list...oh and we need you here in 2 days. She had 48 hours to learn the set list. Pretty incredibel

She says ok...flys over and KILLS it!

This video is from their Imaginarium tour. Killer voice, she studied Musical theater and opera.
