As much as I really feel the x15 is a better engine itself we went with the dd16 and dt12 trans as it seemed to be a better overall package in the cascadia. This is a sport deck and we tow a 30k gooseneck stackerCongrats! X15 or DD16? Allison or auto-shift?
You made the right choice. It’s an unreal package. I’m a sales engineer for a large freightliner group when it’s ready message me I’ll help you set up Detroit connect so you can monitor the unit at all times. Set up alerts it’s pretty bad ass. Dd16 and dt12 package is so Bitchin. As much as I really feel the x15 is a better engine itself we went with the dd16 and dt12 trans as it seemed to be a better overall package in the cascadia. Cs170 renegade classic sport deck, a lot changed on options the last 2 years, not a lot of options anymore, most everything became standard.Which model did you order? Classic, Explorer, XL, Ikon? Although not in the same league as what you are getting, we have been really happy with our 2022 Renegade Verona. I'll move up to a Classic in a few years I suspect.
Also, if you are not aware, there is a really active Renegade page on FB that actually has good info, tips and help. I'm not a fan a FB but I do follow this page.
I bought it from chandler, do you work for same group? We do a lot of fire trucks for the same group (not dealership)You made the right choice. It’s an unreal package. You chose well. The DT12 works much better than the Eaton. As much as I really feel the x15 is a better engine itself we went with the dd16 and dt12 trans as it seemed to be a better overall package in the cascadia. This is a sport deck and we tow a 30k gooseneck stacker
I have a Aquahot diesel/electric unit for heat and hot water too. My Verona uses the 250D model which early generations are a POS. I have a Gen 2 which is a little better, they are now on Gen3. Do you know which model Aquahot they are using in yours? The electric is only enough for dishes or a really quick shower, otherwise you need diesel burner going. Most of the time you just leave it with both diesel and electric on. It will fire the diesel burner once electric can't keep up. I really like not having any propane but there are many opinions out there on that subject.Cs170 renegade classic sport deck, a lot changed on options the last 2 years, not a lot of options anymore, most everything became standard.
no propane in this thing, diesel / electric water heater in this thing
Sure do!I bought it from chandler, do you work for same group? We do a lot of fire trucks for the same group (not dealership)

Curious as to how the way the water is heated has any effect on your skin? The diesel burner heater I feel works better than propane. It doesn’t dry me out quite like the propane ones would.
Yours will be a Gen3 minimum, maybe even a Gen4 by the time you get to that point. The main issue is the control thermostat fails and then you can't get heat or hot water on diesel or electric. It's a fairly easy swap and a $55 part so most just carry a spare or two. You can also jumper it if it fails but that can be dangerous as no shut-off then. Happy to provide details when the time comes if needed and helpful.Yep 250d
I meant with the heater. I don’t notice any difference in the shower.Curious as to how the way the water is heated has any effect on your skin?
There is a huge shortage of chassis with Freightliner and international since Covid. renegade does not have may chassis for plant 1 (classic line) I heard 6-10 chassis outside as of yesterday. Once the sales engineer finalizes the build drawings and parts, then it will get a scheduled build date. Rumor is we should have by July/august. We picked colors with factory rep yesterday. We have one more sign off after engineering is completed(before build date arrives)Yours will be a Gen3 minimum, maybe even a Gen4 by the time you get to that point. Of what year? Or are you talking only chassis delivery to Renegade? What is projected completion of the coach and delivery to you? Most of the Renegade custom line are being quoted year + currently I believe? Maybe the Sport Decks come much faster since the coach portion is easier?Rumor is we should have by July/august.
The renegade delivery time is mostly waiting on the chassis. We ordered the chassis separately (not through renegade) in October 2021 and it’s at renegade now. Delivery this yearOf what year?
