Have you ever been given an ultimatum? I've always enjoyed good bumper stickers. One time years a go I wanted to make a bumper sticker that read: "I choose OR ELSE" Peace

Ultimatum  = Never works out like you think

Never make a threat you won't be able to accomplish.

@ChEFF, great idea for a bumper sticker.

And yea....  the nuclear option often times has a LOT of collateral damage...

Ultimatums don't work, on me at least. Ask my wife. All her sh!t is loaded in an enclosed trailer in my driveway and being shipped to Oregon this Saturday.

I see that there have been lots of ultimatums that end in divorce, sorry to hear that.  I heard that before you get married, every time a kind act was done from either side a penny was put in a jar, at marriage hopefully the jar is full. every bad act takes a penny away from the jar.  When the jar is empty there is no way to recover and separation is the only avenue, successful marriages have the penny jar always overflowing by kind acts.  Gentleman to this day i still open the door for my wife even if I'm not driving the car! in fact if I don't she sits there and i would be eating alone.  Its a two way street. that act alone shows me how important she is to me and its hard to be mad and open the door at the same time  LOL

Like that Penny Jar idea John. I'm always doing the kind things for my wife. Why..............Because she deserves to be LOVED! I can't seem to give her enough love in a day. Too busy with life? It's crazy what the feeling of "TRUE LOVE" is. Peace

have you ever planted a garden?  just like that!  soil preparation, sunshine, watering and hope and time.  some times i have to eradicate pests, it is a lot of work but once you eat the fruit that comes from a well tended garden it is Wonderful.

Amen Crusty

the reality is too many think you can plant corn today and pick it tomorrow..............

try growing something, best marriage counselor you could have

I gave the wife an Ultimatum last winter. She wanted a pool for the Dream Home. I told her, you don't even swim in the pool we have now. Ok Dear, you jump in the pool today, I'll get you a pool. It was 40* that day. I came home from work that afternoon. She was in a towel standing in the kitchen. Butt Naked under a towel with two shots of tequila (Casamigos) sitting on the counter. I had forgot what I said earlier that morning and promptly asked "What are you doing?" She said, you're a man of your word. TOAST! She walked outside, dropped the towel and proceeded to WALK into the freezing cold water. All the way up to her neck. She walked back out and said......"Looks like I'm getting a pool" Be careful with Ultimatums. Some can cost you a FUNCO! Peace

my fiancé gave me an ultimatum, marry me or move on  she was 27  i was 24, i proposed 1 month later, married two months after that.  been married for 37 years, 6 kids and 12 grandkids.................................best ultimatum i ever had--
HAha, was the same with my wife but time was different. I knew her for years but didnt ever date her. We went on a date and within a month she wanted to get married. We were married 5 months later. We’ve been married almost 11 years now.
