Trip Report - New Years 23/24

Been driving a Moho for 30 years. Thought I'd be relaxed driving the "Beast" for the inaugural trip to Mother G. I can honestly say every morning I was intimidated by it's size. I could tell I was OVER DRIVING the Rig. One thing you can't do is that. Let the Coach drive itself. Plus, the past Moho, I had to drive by RPM's / Heat Gauge. This 600hp Cummins isn't like that. Got plenty of Ponies under this hood. So many gauges on the dash I was focusing too much on them. Also, tunnel vision with my view. It took me an hour or two every morning to get comfy and let it go. Kind of like a YFZ 450 quad, let him go. I was holding on too tight. Also, this Rig gets ALOT of attention. The back seat folks are looking out the window to see if someone popular is in it. Rockstar Rig. Everywhere we stopped people would come up and talk about how beautiful this Coach is. My favorite saying to everyone is "I wish it was mine. I'm just the Driver".................................................Future T-Shirts "I'm Just The Driver". Anyway, the inaugural trip was a success. Made it there and back safely. Wasn't very successful for me. Too tense. Too stressed. Looking forward to the next trip. The more and more I drive this thing I'm confident it'll be old school smooth! Peace

The Group we camp with gets a long great. After all the years we've come to like each other. Lifetime Friends. We all know everyone's tendencies, sleep habits, morning routines, evening shenanigans, and what not. Our camp has become a DRAMA FREE zone. Just as I say this, one of our guys in the group decided to cut the line and T-Bone his uncle! YEP, the ride ended at that moment. Strap the 2-wheeler on one of the SXS's. Get him over to Gecko Rd. Head back to camp. Pick up the truck. Drive to Gecko and grab him. No broken bones (Thank God) He looked like a Femur / Collarbone was broken. Luckily nothing was broke. Needless to say, he was moving very slow the rest of the trip. The worst part of the crash was My Wife saw every second of it. Freaked her out. She started screaming at me to turn around. It took a lot of us, Thanks @RIDERED to explain to her that "S**T HAPPENS" out here. In her first few years of Duning she's seen a crash that broke a back. Helicopter Ride to Palm Springs. Broken Collarbone riding a bicycle down China Wall (Her Son) Thanks @RIDERED and @FOG. HAHA. Yes, I got blamed for that too. Another broken collarbone riding those little 70 3-wheelers. And now this little crash. Oh, let's not forget Camp Idiot. YEP, that would be me! No pics @Poule43 Great times! Peace

Overall, I would say it was a "Happy Camp"  The expressions on each of the campers faces said a LOT about who could "PROCESS" being around @ChEFF for extended periods of time!!

Lets just say that some did better than others @ROBERT L  :lmao:

The 7 am tune up on the the 70 @Poule43 was not really fun to listen to. I should have just open my motorhome door and waited for the sweet sounds of  @ChEFF screaming in my front room.

Nothing like a 7:00am Carb tuning experience! Peace
