Always wanted a dedicated buggy trailer,

this one only has 4 tie downs for a sand car, and made the back high so no street cars will get up the ramps,  Less peeps trying to barrow

8.5 wide, 20 foot deck 5200 lbs axles with drive over fenders and aluminum ramps,

rear has Reverse Lights and is in C channel to protect the lights,

fenders are .125 thick

rams are from Aluminum ramps .com and have one single rear door, and come out the back, so if you are near traffic you will not get hit,

main rails are 6'' I beam with 5'' C channel crossing double layer boxed tongue

Nice trailer. Why have fenders at all? Deckover is the key in my transport world, and a winch. We winch every car on the trailer now. I usually fire them up and back them off but witching on is mandatory. I'll even drive a car to the trailer and then winch it onto the deck. The extra 5 minutes is worth it.

I love how your trailer, how it is not like a Construction Flatbed look, That what i wanted to build next,   was how your fender wells are a small mini well,

I also had the thought of making the fenders go all the way across,   I have only used this trailer my self about 5 times in 4 years, the rest has been,  barrowed for a bobcat, Haas Machine,  Brewing tanks, moving once, someone got a street car on it,   barrow for a 2wd truck,  and a garage door,

Question, why?

I'm sure there is a simple answer, but when you say "mandatory" there must be a real benefit, prevention of a problem or safety reason I'm sure.

thanks..

Cool build, enjoy these threads as always.

There are numerous reasons but safety above all.  My trailers are both 101" wide and theses cars still barely fit so there's not much room for adjustment when driving them on/off.  Most of the cars we move don't run so winching is the only option.  Also, clutches are expensive!  I've driven 100's of cars with just about every brand of clutch out there and some of the newer ones are basically an ON and OFF type clutch.

@L.R.S.  thanks, makes perfect sense and good business practice to boot.

Every car that you have picked up from us has been very Professional,  would like a Winch and a area to store the straps later on ours,

I have loaded a car by driving it up with a Big block in the back of a extreme, and the front nosed over and one wheel went off the side,  if it was not a good friend it would have looked like a Chit Show,

Looks really nice.  I've never owned anything this beefy, just lighter weight car and utility trailers.  What's the deal with the steel rod the ramps hook on to? Why is it removeable?

in the past I have had trailers with angle iron or rods for the ramps, and when they get bent up, then it makes it hard to replace, cut weld ect,   figured if they ever got bent or messed up from the ramps,  i can just remove the rods and put new ones in,
