Anyone else get excited to see how we fair up against the rest of the world. 
 

still waiting to get a medal on that note 🤦🏻‍♂️

 
no interest whatsoever...... I hate professional athletes being involved in the olympics / USA Haters and political theatrics have over taken what used to be a great pride in the USA.

I don't care to even see whats happening!  sooo SAD

That thought hasn’t occurred to me yet. Now I’ve got to be really careful when watching women’s volleyball. I might slip and be checking out the wrong team.

That is IF they get out of group play.  Would love to see them get shut out again.

 
I've always loved the Olympics.  Been watching some last 2 days.

Opening ceremonies were pretty pathetic.  Forcing a male & female to hold flags together was rough to watch.  Very cumbersome.

Funny to watch all athletes mingling without masks until the camera got on them and they rushed them back on. 

The commercials have been exceptionally PC.

 
Today's games are not what we saw in our youth for sure.

However, pride in the USA will never die for me, GO USA!

Also the level of skill, strength and talent can be amazing to watch.

 
Not interested in watching this year.
 

I would rather see the USA not medal in any games then to see one USA athlete turn their back on our flag or anthem. Especially when it’s that flag and anthem that got them there.
 

What are other Countries thinking when they see these USA athletes disrespect their own Country? It’s an embarrassment and I would rather see us lose then be disrespected during the metals ceremony. 

 
When did they add Skateboarding?  What the Heck!!!

I've heard a theory that if you need a judge to tell you how good you did (like in Figure-Skating, Half-Pipe, Diving, Gymnastics, ETC), that it is not a real sport.

Anyone who thinks that gymnastics isn't a sport is an absolute moron.
Those people are some of the most physically fit on the planet.

 
Gotta go with Poule and RobertL on this one. Used to be FIRED UP for the Olympics. Piss on the Athletes that kneel and turn their backs to our Flag! Used to be a Football Fan too. Didn't mean to change the subject (Apologies) Peace

No what he is saying is that competitions who's outcomes require a person's opinion to score the event are not real sports.  That only leaves Bull fighting and Racing as real sports, the rest are games.

Not saying they are not in peak health, physically fit or don't have amazing talents just that is it a real sport when somebody's opinion on how well you performed a trick or move that is subject to interpretation isn't really a sport it's a popularity contest.
