The GM52 Hustler clone conversion

I wanted to make mention of the paint scheme. Dale @dbart was instrumental in this design. Dales been busy and its been hard for a lot of us knowing his design ability and not being able to get his help.

Well, as you can see.

Dale is starting to make some time to do  more of this and if you need some help or full design work, I would absolutely reach out to him.

Thank you Dale for all you do!!!

Dale the is man when it comes to deigns! He did some preliminary designs for my car and they were great!

Thank you Erik.

I kind of backed off on doing this and have told some people that I just didn't have the time to do them justice for a design.

I really want to get back into doing as it is a fun outlet for me.

I'm hoping once my schedule clears up in the next month or 2 to be able to help some of you out.

I can't wait to see this one come to life!

Cars back at my shop for a week is the plan. Getting the fiberglass fit just right to the car.

I've purchased everything from funco and all these panels fit a 126 wheel base car.

Getting them to fit and finish will take a little massaging here and there.

We're on it this weekend.

If all goes well it will be off to strip and powder soon. Then assembly.

Seats will be in hand in two weeks. Jet trim called and I'm on the work bench.

John at outfront it wrapping up as well.

Positive thoughts and vibes and I'll be at vets with this car.

First stages above. Back tape and grind. Then build Bondo up and shape as a backer.

Now laying too layers of glass. Once set we will remove the panels. Grind out the Bondo and glass the back sides. Then it's trim and shape to fit.

Soooo...

Much...

Work...

Looking good.  True dune machine.

Only thing I'd look into with the front-hinged door: what happens to the door if the latch fails on a side landing (rollover, whatever).  Would suck for your door to get some core samples in a wreck.

Using all the funco hardware. Not wanting to re engineer what already work.
