Tatum Midboard Service

Do to them having no inner seal they should be done about Every Year,

If they where a J-Mar or a Pro-Amm or Kartek then on a sand car they can go 4-5 years,

the J-mar ProAmm Kartek use a inner Seal just like the outer seal, with steal inserts for the seal to ride on,  these brakes run around $1500-2000 more but in the long run half the maintenance.

If properly assembled Gear one hubs do just fine keeping sand out and this is not an issue.

The tatum are pretty bad about them having a small inner dust seal, that does not seat very good on the hub

Finished up today...What a messy pain in the butt. Everything was good inside. Allot of sand outside of the seals, but inside there was still grease and no sand.

I think I did them about 5 seasons ago or so. Only do about 4 trips a season, so not heavy use.

On a side note, my car is an Extreme Fabrication car that runs their U-joint axles. So where the C/V would be inside the hat, there is a steel piece that replicate's the C/V. It's a bit different.
