Hey all, I’ve never removed the pulley from a Howe P/S pump. Any tips/tool recommendations? Also, moving to an 8 rib system and the kit came with a small p/s pulley to clear the idler… dropping from 6 5/8” to 5 1/4” any concerns on over spinning the pump?

Not sure that puller setup will work. There are no threads in the center of the shaft to screw into.
I've done it with a shop press at home and the rail of a stackers upper lift rail in Glamis. Had to support the pulley with steel plates and press the shaft out with a socket that fits the hole in the pulley. either way we had to remove the pump from the car. Some PB Blaster wouldn't hurt.
Maybe a 3 claw puller would work because of the openings in the pulley, but those things are pressed on tight.

The puller posted above will work for pulling it off but you will have to press a new one on since there are no threads to use it as a puller going back on
