Public adjuster probably took 10+% of what he got. They don't work for free.

Yeah if I remember right my 2 claims it was the 3rd offer that did it.  I feel like they try to push and see if you will just take less.  Lots of people dont have the time and need the money.  Lesson here is to stick to your guns and just be patient.

Dropped my TH with the RZR in it in a few months back. Rick's RV was fixing the propane system for the fridge when a fire broke out, total loss. Initially insurance offered me $25k for the RZR and $12k for the TH.

Submited my pile of receipts and disputed the payment amouns and now I am getting $40k for the RZR and $17k for the TH.

All in all they did right by me.

Consider yourself lucky.

They fvcked me after my '02 custom Lightning show truck was stolen.  $32k truck + $60k in mods.  Paid out $42k.  Lawyer intervened but didn't help much and they paid his fees.

Others have had positive experiences like y0res after pushing back.  I'm not a lucky man so I chalk it up to that.

Yup totally lucky... thing is I was going to off the SXS's and TH and move (back) into an LS sand car and Moho. I couldn't have gotten this much trying to sell them.. my TH had SEVERE wall sag.

Yup, State Farm has had my back on several occasions. As mentioned before in this thread, don't take the 'first offer'.. I was lucky as I have stacks of dealer receipts (Del Ammo for the RZR, El Toro RV for the TH).

Was condsidering a lawyer in the begging, but my agent did right by me.

I'll be staying with them.. as long as they don't cancel me.

Modified vehicles need to be insured as such... get it in emails and writing... most Auto and RV and SXS policies have set limits on additional equipment. You need to make sure you know up front what is covered.

Had a judge with a 100k bel air....... insured it for $40k stated value and got hit by an uninsured guy....... all we could do was write the 40k check.  He understood...it didn't happen to him twice.

Insurance is getting tougher all the time.  IF it's cheap, it's cheap for a reason.
