Daughters SSR 125 appears to have shit the bed. Almost no compression and turning the magneto by hand only turns the engine over intermittently.
Rings are toast?
Looking and top end and engines are all over the place. I figure everything is a gamble whether stuff fits or not?
Whole engine is $150-300+. Top end kit is $50-80 with all the usual bad grammar English.
What's anyone's experience with rebuilds on China 2 wheelers? I'm leaning towards a whole motor.
But is it possible just a new piston and rings could solve it? I'm retarded with engines.
She really loves the bike.

My kids had some of those cheap chinese go karts when they were little, a 250cc and a 90cc. Same thing happened to them. I ordered a new piston, rings and gaskets for the 250 from eBay first. When I got it apart everything was in great shape except the rings were worn paper thin so on the 90 I just bought rings and gaskets and reused the piston. They both ran better than ever afterwards. Sold them shortly after that.
