Thats pussy chit; we got tornado warnings; must be the higher numbers of trailer parks in east county….and yes, the schools actually had kids under desks for 45 min

Well...i am alt-right conservative and i believe that climate change is BS. Anyone notice that the lib leaders (pelosi, obama, biden, etc) that espouse rising sea levels ALL have homes that are right on the ocean?  My company does mud-slide repairs in CA (yes we are 'buried' lol).  Winter of 2023 was brutal for CA and this year has been better but still very wet.  One of my projects got 8" of rain in 24 hours in CA.  They called it a '200 year storm'. Meaning we should not see another one for 200 years. This storm did not feel like that although the winds were high.  Bottom line is it seems like we are getting a couple wet winters to balance out the prior 4-5 year drought...

We also got 20’ of snow in one storm in 1870s in my town hasnt happened since. Wasnt climate change

Up here they were called "Chinooks", then "Pineapple Express", and now "Atmospheric river". I'm sure the next name will be something like "Existential Atmospheric Tsunami".

It's similar to the term the media picked up on, "Bomb Cyclone". It was a term used for decades to describe a barometric pressure difference that normally occurs over open oceans and doesn't always relate to extreme weather. But it sounded good on tv.

 
As I posted earlier, we received near record snowfall (over 9”) and lengthy lows here in Knoxville. Two pipes bust when we hit -7.

 
Learned in college that weather is just the earths way of moving heat from one place to another....nothing more, nothing less. Sometimes there's a lot of energy to move, sometimes not so much. The earth is the ultimate Marxist, she wants everyone to be equal.
