Smog for Diesel pushers now...

dear LLLORD!! you guys are too screwed over there in that state.i read all this chit from 3,000 away and just really can't believe the laws thay come up with out there...lol.

so Diesel/RVs are going to kill 7500 ppl over the next 27 years? How many ppl died this year from diesel emissions?

"prevent 7,500 air-quality related deaths and 6,000 hospitalizations and emergency room visits from 2023 to 2050"

Maybe be time for a Montana LLC. Had several friends it, super easy.

I wonder how easy it is to register in TX? Peace

"and personal motorhomes with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of more than 14,000 pounds traveling in the state regardless of whether they are registered in California."

"Older heavy-duty vehicles without an OBD system will continue the current opacity testing requirements with an added visual testing component, twice each year."

Looks like the Montana LLC thing won't be a viable exception if you want to travel in the state. Also for those of us with pre-smog coaches...looks like those have to get smoged twice a year. Ugh ! Looks like backroads and night runs for me. That and 'pay the fee' for a visual that is irrelevant.

I had a friend who just drove his motorhome with no plates or registration. Ticket was 110.00 and way cheaper than the 4000.00 registration fee per year. Figured he wouldn't get stopped that often.

Add I had a new 5th wheel and there was a plate screw up (Ca.) and we towed it on a 10k mile trip with no plates and never got stopped. Went through Az, New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon and California.

My moty still has the Texas plates on it that were on it when I bought it. I'm never going to register it. I have insurance. I'll just pay the fine if I do ever get a ticket. It'll be way cheaper than even one year's registration.

How in the world is California going to impose a California regulation on a vehicle registered in another state??

What a nightmare.

Where do the MH Clubs and MFGs stand on this BS?

I guess 1,500 people don’t bother with the hospital or emergency room? Lol

Going to get awfully congested here on earth if we don't figure out a way to just let people expire.

Newer Diesel RV's already have the "DEF" system? I believe the "DEF system actually cleans the air it takes in to a cleaner exhaust. I don't know nor do I GAF. LOL

Moving out of here in the near future...
