Its about 12 a day for me. All saying I am just a few steps away form a 30K loan approval. Its the same dam message from a different phone number each time. This has been going on for months.

I don't answer any of these. I block each and every one but it doesn't matter. I am registered on the "do not call registry" but thats no help.

I have Verizon and they show potential spam half of the time. The rest are all non local numbers. Rare occasion its an area code I recognize.

Google is no help on this and all I read is its on the rise with AI and data breaches. With that, I just got a letter from TransUnion yesterday that they had a data breach and my DOB and SS# were taken, seen, collected........

FKN TransUniion of all accounts.

I get them from people wanting to quote me on windows, roofing, or house painting. As of late I’ve asked them if they want to come out and give me an actual quote or just see if my windows need to be cleaned. That usually ends it right there. But I’m about to start wasting contractors time for real. Have them come out and give quotes.

The calls are all the time. It was more fun when it was the car warranty call and you could ask them about a warranty on a 1976 Lincoln.

" I don't speak to your kind " seems to insult them without having to guess what nationality they are.

answer the phone put it on speaker and hit mute....most of the time the computer just clicks off...even better is to answer, say hello...then mute..then it transfers it to one of their shit bag call people, then they say hello for 3 or 4 seconds then click off... takes up their time...

Answer the phone with Federal Bureau of Investigation Fraud Division how may I direct your call.

You will end up on the good don't call list

If I didn't get these calls, then who would I talk to?

Answer, block, repeat.

Couple of years ago I was fucking with a guy that was pulling the "I'm with the Police" scam. After I'd wasted a decent amount of his time I told him I had to go. He told me he was going to come arrest me. I let him know that he couldn't. After a bit of back and forth with this and him getting more and more upset he asked why he couldn't come arrest me. I told him it was because I lived in a gated community and we didn't allow people with dark skin into our neighborhood. Dude lost it.

The ones that drive me insane are when they call and just say "Hey Jason, it's Brian, give me a call back when you get a chance"
I'm getting old, I'm starting to forget if I know them or not

Probably guys trying to get you funding for your business. I tell them that I'd like to get a loan for the highest amount that I don't have to payback.

My guess is some asshat put my number in a few online loan approval places and Im getting blasted. Yesterday was 17 calls.

Yesterday's fun. I take it pretty far, because I have that kind of time now...

After hurricanes Milton and Helene, I have started to get a lot of calls from Builders and other services in Florida, thinking I am my Uncle. I have asked both my Uncle and Aunt if they put my number on some list after the hurricanes and both said no. Not sure how this happened but it will not stop and I get call after call after call.

I've begun having fun with the scam texts. Send them a reply then immediately block their number. At least it gives me a laugh.
