My 2008 CRF 450 was stolen about 5 years ago. Still have my CR250, but it's seized and a 2003 CRF 450. Both are in my brothers storage yard along with my Ducati. I pretty much stopped riding when all of the SXS idiots started showing up everywhere

It is a lot more mellow, even though it is a lot faster. The YXZ was super fun, screaming all the time, reminded me of riding a 125 dirt bike. Mine was a 3 pedal manual shift, so constantly "rowing the boat" to keep it on the pipe. When I bought the Canned Ham, I was thinking that I would shift it manually, but it is really quiet and I use a helmet with earplug speakers, so it is hard to judge the RPM w/o looking at the tach and I usually just let it shift automatically. Even in automatic mode, though, you can still use the paddles to pop a downshift. That works pretty well to square off tight corners on desert rides, especially with the engine in Sport+ mode. If only Yamaha had upped their game and made a YXZ with a factory turbo, longer and wider, and better suspension... I think that would have been a total blast!
