San Felipe 2024 or bust!

We got a ton to go but the WiFi quit again.. lol. More
To come!

Dave,
Whats the deal with the Morgan mods, success???

Vastly vastly improved.. it was hot as balls and humid for the first couple days we were down there and the car got “warm” 200 degrees once after running about 10 miles at 55-65 mph.. I think the radiator lift kit and it should be ready to roll in any weather..

Bare in mind this thing would overheat in less than two minutes before adding that oil cooler..

Heading to mikes sky ranch.. lost a ball joint in the x3. Amazingly jeff had one with him. 😳. So with minimal tools and a big rock we got the old one out and the new one in. Took about three hrs..

We didn’t give up we still went the 100+ miles there and back. lol.

Made it back and ran the beaches home again!

The sky ranch is only 60 miles as the crow flies.. when we were done we did about 160 lol.

We had stashed 20 gallons of fuel out in the desert a few days before.

If you are going with a group that is more “Americanized” Matilda’s is going to be one of your better bets for normal food! Awesome bar and restaurant on the water!

Our last night in San Felipe.. the kids put a ton of miles on their quads.. point in fact myself and Rick did the same reliving our youth so to speak.. lol.

Ok so in these pics you will see some lights way out in the water.. believe it or not that’s my kids with flashlights out there collecting shells

The beach is long and flat so when the tide goes out you can walk a long ways out there

The taco shop was on the return trip home about halfway up from
San Felipe. Best Mexican food I think I’ve ever had.. absolutely incredible

Which brings us to the only downer of the trip.. we crossed the border and my buddy was about 30 minutes ahead of us heading to his house in California.. this happened in the USA.

Some lady blew a red light and t boned him.. truck rzr and trailer totaled. On the bright side and he been one second later she would have hit the passenger compartment. They are all ok with some bruises. The lady was in bad shape and not expected to make it. :(.

We spent a couple hours gathering their personal belongings off the side of the road out of the truck and rzr etc..

Made it home late Friday night.. still dreaming of Mexican hot dogs and thankful my friends are ok.
