I disagree (not that it matters).
Back in... like... 2011 or so, Greengo rented a 2 seat RZR 800 for a few hours and that was my intro to the modern SXS's. We had so much fun in that bitch, we couldn't stop laughing the entire time we were in it.
That led me to buy my 2012 RZR XP4 900 which was actually a blast to drive in the dunes. Paddles, harnesses... that was the extent of my investment. It went anywhere I wanted it to go at a speed that was either "just safe enough" or borderline on "I could get hurt really bad if something goes wrong in this thing", but nothing did.
Are they Sand Car fun? I don't think so at all. But... they do belong in the sand. It's the shitty attitude that comes with those owners less invested in their "education" that is the problem with them... and what doesn't belong in the sand.
Well just for the sake of discussion (and where my opinion comes from)...
When Sampler got his, he took me out and we rode around for awhile.
At one point in the ride, he looks at me and says...
"river, this thing Sucks!!!"
I cracked up and said...
Well I'm glad You said that and not me!
We went back to camp, Rick Wade shows up and takes it out for a spin. He came back shortly, right after he rolled it. He felt So fucking bad!!!
But Rob was like...
Don't worry about it. Fuck that thing. And he sold it shortly after that.
The power to weight ratio is all wrong for the sand.
On the hardpack, they really are fun as fuck.
