RIP Pete Rose

Just watched a documentary on him. Sad how it all ended up. 😞

He was a great player...however...there is basically ONE rule in baseball............Sorry...there has to be consequences... or you have what we have now... nothing means anything...

Unless your name is Ohtani... funny how that all got quiet and we all forgot about it...

There is no integrity in today's college or pro sports.
I quit watching college when they wouldn't let the FBI on to college campuses in the fall of 2001 and the pros after even more overt national disrespect plus the advent of nation-wide gambling.
Nothing there for our kids to emulate and very few standing up publicly for what they believe lest they be targeted financially.

RIP Sir, HOF will come, one day, as a Posthumous award because people suck.

RIP PETE! Its a shame MLB didnt put him the HOF before he passed. Now a days you cant watch a MLB game without a Gambling website commercial every 10 minutes.

Started watching the Pete Rose Doc on Netflix, great stuff.

Johnny Bench had no love for him LOL

He was a great player....BUT, the liar does not belong in the Hall. The FBI had a bunch of stuff on him...like who a gambler owes money to.

Similar to OHTANI. EFF the Dodgers. Go Padres. Sorry, didn't mean to step on the best Hitter EVER! Peace

When I played Little League...about 1970, they passed out a booklet that talked about the positions and etc. Guess who had a blurb in there about the game...

An interesting article....read all the way to the bottom.

Damn.............Article makes the Dude sound like a Horrible Human Being. That sucks. I remember how he played ball. Didn't know any of the other stuff. Other than Gambling. Peace

Wasn't all his gambling stuff after he retired from playing?
He never bet on his own team, right???
24 seasons for the Reds, Phillies and Expos. He had a .303 batting average, 4256 hits, 160 home runs, 1314 RBIs and 2165 runs scored
that right there deserves to be in the HOF!
What he did after...well that's too bad he was a gambler, but stats don't lie. he was a great player.

I think they should have put him in.

As a baseball player, he should be in the HOF. After his playing career, he made some bad decisions that have over=shadowed what a great player he was.

Heck, I think Bonds should be in the HOF as well. He wasn't the only person doing what he was doing, everyone was looking for an edge. In the 1980's it was Cocaine in the clubhouse, but that was ok.
