Before heading down for the Baja 400 prerun, I decided to give the Gearone Super CV boots a try. Overall, I’m very pleased with the product and plan to continue using them on the car moving forward.

In the past, I’ve had issues with the Bates boots coming apart. Their main problem is rigidity — they’re more likely to tear than flex. In contrast, the Gearone boots have held up great after a few hundred miles and will definitely stay on the car through dune season.

Parker from Gearone deserves a lot of credit for listening to duners and desert racers, and for designing products that meet our needs. His latest release, the Podium Lubricants CV Grease, is another solid example. I encourage everyone to support his business — check out his website and the high-quality parts he’s producing.

Maybe we can even talk GlamisDunes.com into doing a business feature and shop tour on the forum!

One of the main reasons for buying the car I have now. Gear One hubs all around with Gear One power rack.

The car is about due for new boots, and I plan to try their new super boots as well. I've only heard positive feedback on these boots.

Thanks for the kind words @Reece Pettersen. Glad you're having a good experience with the new Super boots especially with how hard you and your crew drive, I've spent a lot of time figuring out a proper rubber compound for these car. My dad thought I was crazy when I told him we had to invest all that money in rubber boots, fortunately it seems to be working out.

Really appreciate the feedback on the forum, your pack of podium cv grease is shipping today.

Great write up @Reece Pettersen. I'm fortunate to have been to @parker@gearone shop a few times and I'm always impressed at how clean and organized it is as well as the newer machines. I had Parker convert my center board hubs to their Super Greasers and I'm using his new grease this season.
You dont have to lie, our shop is never clean :ROFLMAO:.Also I hope you like the super greaser upgrade

Interesting about the bates boots, when I was at kartek recently my sales guy recommended the empi boots over the bates due to how much better the empi flexes. He said the bates boots are better for taking hits from things like rocks etc (Desert racing) If I knew gearone was making boots I would have went with those. Just slapped all new gearone 934 super CV's in my car w/ the new podium grease

@parker@gearone I'm interested in your new Podium CV grease. Can I assume you recommended this for the CV side of my newer super greasers? Are you developing anything for the bearing side?

Yes, this is what I would recommend for your Super greaser CVs. We are still finishing up a wheel bearing formula hoping to have it to market at the beginning of 2026.
