Rest in peace Jeanne Boardman

GLAMIS WEATHER
I had her sign the back of our tribe canvas after I took it down from over the pool table that we put up I believe in 1988. That was right before she sold the place. IMG_20130425_202737_105.jpg2012-11-25_15-07-33_515.jpg

Let's make some memories in Jeanne's honor.

I met Jeanne shortly after Chuck had passed. I was brought out to Boardmanville by my buddy Brian. Jeanne called him 2 beer Brian. That's all he would drink as they watched NASCAR on Sundays.
Anywho. Brian asked me to come out. Chuck and Jeanne had a big Detroit Diesel generator. I was at the time a good Detroit mechanic and said yes, let's go. I had no preconceived notions of boardmanville, Chuck or Jeanne.
We get there and I am introduced. Brian shows me this big ass old half ass storage container missing sides, roof and dusty AF.
I see it's a Detroit 12V71 NA.
For those that don't know what I'm talking about. It's a v12 2 stroke diesel with 71 cubic inches per cylinder. It's NA naturally aspirated with dry exhaust, muffler and turn downs pointing to the sky.
Brian's onto beer 1 and I'm jumping up on the platform. Did my basic checks and find some rust on the dipstick. Decide I'll pull the air box covers off and check the pistons, top rings and cylinders.
First cover off and it tells me everything. Engine is done. Rain had flooded the exhaust and cylinders.
Drop down, clean up, walk into the bar, order a Coors light. Look at Jeanne and shake my head back and forth. It's done.
Brian only had 2 beers. We had several. Enjoyed that day even with the bad news, she had a smile and great attitude.

Cheers to you Jeanne. You will be missed.
Thank you for all of it every time.

Erik.

I remember meeting Chuck and Jeanne back in the late seventies or early eighties. We would go under the tracks at Wash 10 and the kids loved to get their soft serve ice cream 🍦 which was a big treat in those days.
Several beers at the bar through the years and then the Fuckarewe tribe take down with @RIDERED and crew when she sold.
Good times for many years.
RIP Jeanne.

RIP my friend. Oh the stories and memories I've had over the many years of visiting her Oasis in Paradise. I'll start with a short story. Decided to stop drinking alcohol for Five (5) Years. When I told Jeanne, she was sincerely bummed and disappointed in me. Her comment was.............."How am I supposed to make a living now?" We built an awesome relationship. I'll share more as time goes on. Excited to hear everyone's memories of her. Peace

RIP/Godspeed.. I remember going there in the early 80's and the Shower that was outside.. It was so Hot out that each of our group just stood under the water fully clothed and got soaked.

Rest in Peace Jeanne.

A true part of Glamis no doubts...

She was born on the same day my mother was born. NOV 7th. I was always at Boardmanville on her birthday. She loved just hanging out with us. I'll tell the stories when she got irritated with us at a later time. Peace

I'm going to take one for the team. 😄

RIP. So sad in many ways. Her memories lost forever. The end of an era never to be recovered.

I so miss the days of cruising under wash 10, grabbing some cold beverages and having a burger with the family. RIP

I did watch from a distance King and Queen Glamis get married there as well.

RIP Jeannie!
One of a kind right there!!!
Haven't been there pretty much since they made it impossible to get there via sand!
Definitely have memories of being there with her!
🍻
