My wallet says this thread brings back some memories! I was raised somewhat in the country. Plenty of property and plenty of chores that over the years of Jr. High through high school, produced the money needed to play in this hobby. I started with a midnight pumpkin that was the fastest thing I had ever seen, till I saw a frog car. I busted that midnight pumpkin so many times I was on a first name basis at the hobby shop (Busy Bee). I bought an RC10 team car w/ aluminum chassis, then stepped up to a Losi JRXT, the first production RC stadium truck. Then an RC10T with graphite chassis. Stock motors, 11 turns, then a trinity monster horsepower in a 6 turn configuration. I absolutely miss racing with friends, the magazines and newest trick setup coming out. I tried a nitro T-maxx. It had 2 speeds and freakin reverse! Bought a nitro USA-1 but never finished it. That was the end of my RC and the beginning of an even more expensive hobby, with the purchase of a brand new 97 banshee.6 hours ago, J Alper said:
Had one as a kid, think i am going to get one
RC10 Classic 40 Year Anniversary Kit (associatedelectrics.com)
RC-10 with a Novak got you into the top 5 over the rheostat arm controller, but if you wanted to place in the top 3 then it was a JRX-2 with a Tekin,Novak or Tekin…? :classic_ninja:
Hey dipshit, I meant the 80s/90s :rofl:Neither! Hobbywing or Reedy
Just got a shipment of more tires for a race coming up next month. It is never ending. LOL!!!Damn
