RC-10 Damn I feel Old,

Only the rich kids in my neighborhood had the RC 10,  I was rolling with Tamiya Frog  :dude:     Lots of memories, I learned how to solder when I was in 4th grade just to keep these cars running.

I did manual labor to buy the original. Make sure they don’t sell you the version with the clear plastic parts. The guy at the hobby store said the clear parts are not very strong.

I had the RC10T with the truck body. Still have it on the shelf in the garage

Filled the shocks with oil, updated the speed control, painted the inside of the car cover and had to put the batteries in ice to recharge!!

Associated?  Nope.  TLR 4 lyfe!

I still have one in the garage sitting on the shelf

The RC-10 got me into racing,  was awesome, then got a Losi and was a game changer,  then got a VW Bug,  and all down hill from there

I think that buggy got lots into racing.   My kid races for Associated.

I was always so envious of the kids that had the expensive ones.  I never had anything except toys r us cars as a kid.

If you were racing today you would be looking elsewhere.  LOL!!!!
LOL, yeah.  I've paid zero attention lately.  They seem to mainly make RTR products these days...

boy did these RC cars lead us down a long expensive trail.  it was "my boys hobby", but I got to pay for it all.  they stuck with it after I closed the wallet, but they both eventually got to the point the squeeze was not worth the juice.

When Horizon took over it was not the same.   They have decent 1/8th scale race buggy and truggy.  The 1/10th scale 2wd is the current world champion, but rumor is most of the car had AE parts on it.  LOL!!!

Lots of good race buggies out there.

The nickel and dime hobby that adds up to thousands of dollars quickly.  LOL!!!

When one paddle tire for my car is now $1250 or a barrel of fuel is $700

I think i am going to buy the 40th RC-10 and keep it on the shelf next to my Mint 400 collection,

Pretty cheap price to remember some of the most innocent time of my life.

Saw the title...thinking don't click on this thread...don't click on this thread...
