Yesterday afternoon my truck turned 250,000.  Im kinda pissed because I wanted to get a picture @ 249999 and 250000, but I will get over it.  LOL.

FWIW, this is a 99 Ram 2500, Cummins, 47RE, 2x4.  Ive put 2 VP44 injection pumps in it & I dont know how many lift pumps.  Its never had the frictions replaced in the trans, but right around 125K I had a billet converter & shift kit put into it.  The frictions are done in it & will have to get replaced.  Im hoping it lives through desert season...  Ive replaced the Solenoids in the trans about 5 times, because the plastic connector keeps breaking & then works lose & the converter starts being intermittent....

it got me to thinking.............  who on this site has the most miles on their personal vehicles and on their work vehicles.  I know there are folks with big trucks with millions of miles (Long haul & deliver trucks for example).

All are 6.0 gassers

My little run around car has 224000 on it.

Still runs great!!!!!  I plan on 325000.

Not me. I bought a Camry hybrid a year ago and I'm just short of 5,000 mi. I think 3,000 of those miles were visiting friends up in Hawthorne.

I used to put a decent amount of miles on my 06 Dmax but after I simmered on going to G then sold the 5er, it hardly gets any miles put on, maybe 5k a year. Is about 100 miles away from 160k. my 2012 Vw CC daily has 159k. The new Grand Cherokee we bought at the end of Jan with 14 miles on it has over 16k now, lol...

01 Chevy Silverado 1500, 259,232 miles as of today.

Original engine with no major work done. Original trans, with only separator plate replaced around 150K. I just rebuilt the rear axle as the limited slip dif was shot about a 100K miles ago. I put a Eton True Track in it and will be changing the brake in oil this weekend.

Overall this has been a solid daily driver truck.

I hate the stories where they have 500k miles but have put 3 engines and 4 transmissions in it. I want the ones where they haven't even changed the oil.

not me but my old neighbor who was a union iron worker had a 01 two wheel drive f350 with a 7.3 diesel motor. flatbed welding rig from day one.also a good mechanic and did all his required mauntance just hit over 500,000 on it last year when I moved.older dude and did not beat on it in any way.he did 55/60 mph on the highway all the time.but im willing to bet its still on the road and running.he did replace the rear about 2 years ago and trans was redone a few years back.

2000 F250 PSD. 338,000 miles. Still runs like new. I figure she’ll go 1 mil.  At current truck prices, I’ll take her there.

2002 tahoe. 301.5k miles. Sister bought it new. I bought it in 2013 or so. At 265k miles i replaced the motor with a junk yard motor when it set off knock sensors (90k on donor odometer). LRS bought my old motor and said cam had a bad lobe. Gave it to my mother in law 4 years ago, she gave it back two weeks ago as she is moving out of state. Still on original trans.  Best vehicle i’ve ever had, gassed up today still averages 17mpg (5.3l) now what to do with it.....

my f350 is at 175k miles (7.3) replaced tranny at 60k. Other than batteries up pipes 1 alternator radiator and a icp its had zero problems (friend bought it at 30k miles)

my excursion 6.0 just rolled 180k miles. Replaced injectors and  fuel pump and rebuilt the turbo at 120k. Replaced fuel pump again and radiator 5k miles ago.

F250 on Facebook the other day had over 500k and they wanted $20k for it.
Is it alright for me to ask why this is so humorous to a few? Serious question.

Reason I ask is I have a 2001 F-350 CC 7.3L that is about 4K shy of 300,000. Has the John Wood TowMaster trans.
Has been a very good solid truck but after about three more trips to Visalia to finish my move in to retirement I’m no longer going to need it.

Had it smogged a few weeks ago and mentioned to the mechanic that I was going to list it for $16,000 and see where it went. He said hell no, list it for $20,000 and it will get it. Was kind of surprised but I was talking to a dealer a while later and he said the same thing. It’s in good condition other than some paint flaking off of the hood and roof.

I will post a pic of the rollover when it happens if I still have it then. Fixing to get fired from my DoD job and I’ll just call it a day and not pursue further employment.

I love seein the adds on instagram for 30-40k for clean 7.3’s and then getting clowned by people that say its crazy way too much then next day SOLD! Guy down the street just sold a clean 01 with 250k miles for 20k within a week of listing it

Things sure have changed then. I sold my 01 F250 short bed CC  a couple years ago. It had approx 225k and I was lucky to get 12k for it. That truck was considered the holy grail with the 7.3 / 6sp combo.

97 F350 PSD 355k

99 Ram/Cummins (same truck as @Bobalos) 305k

05 International 9900i (semi) 1.3m

97 F250 PSD 325k
Fwiw, those 97 fords roll back to 300k after 399999. If you havent had them long they may have even more miles than that! Be camera ready when yours do it

The ride in the stable around here that gets a bunch of miles put on it is the ol' lady's.  But, she gets a new one every couple years.

I have 4 other cars to choose from, only live about 7 miles from the shop, and spend a ton of time out of town.  I will usually put more miles on rental cars in a year than all of mine combined.

The last time I really paid any attention to miles on a car was when my DMAX hit 150k.  I was on my home from G for Thanksgiving.  The following year on the same trip it hit 152k.  It was my only my only vehicle at the time too.
