Pools!!!! Some tips so I don't install the wrong stuff!

I'm kind of a pool care nut, always looking for things to make my routine easier, hadn't heard of this. The mineral they refer to on the box is copper sulfate, correct? Any problems with staining or green hair using this product?
When ph alkalinity get out of whack, the metals will drop out of solution and pool will turn an awesome purple / blue

Sams Club sold that in gallon bottles......I figured if 8oz was good 16 was BETTER......had a Caribbean green pool for a week or so.....looked cool. And no algea

One of my favorite pool side features. Solar heated outdoor shower. Only need a hose bib and I have hot and cold water. Working hard around the house in a hot day it’s refreshing. Was something like $200. Kids love it to clean off their feet if dirty., water balloons or a quick rise after leaving the pool

What a great thing to have. I definitely need to get one of these!

We did our pool remodel in Sept 2019, finished Feb of 2020.
Stayed typical chlorine and white plaster, I opted for the Best equipment at the time. All Pentair and we have the Intellicenter app, (LOVE THAT)
I was looking into Hydrazo for the plaster (has polished bits of glass) but optioned out a built in BBQ instead so that is why we stayed with White Plaster, plus we love the color of the water it gives.
Baja shelfs, go BIG and don't go deeper than 8". It is so ice to sit and have feet in the water or if you have the loungers your laying just right at the top of the water. Any deeper and you are just too far into the water to hang out. The baja shelf is where we mostly hang out. I still have a diving board (grandfathered in from our original pool)
Do some sort of water feature, waterfall, fountain etc... It breaks up the surface of the water and you don't get that stagnant water feel, plus the sound is soothing.
You want your pool and backyard to be something not only to enjoy when you are in it, but Ambiance for when you aren't in it.
LIGHTING!!!! Light the back yard up with landscape lighting, do LED lights in the pool, again make your backyard an oasis for when you come home you just like to be out there and look at it!
Jacuzzi, we added one and so glad we did.
I go in my pool throughout the year, but summer time is when our friends all come over, cause we are the ones with the pool (Be prepared for that, LOL)
GET A POOL MAN!!!!! You don't want to have to worry about cleaning your pool and maintaining it, write that check every month! You want to enjoy it, not have it be some chore you have to take care of!
Havning said all that, we are now 6 years into it being finished and the plaster is showing some wear and tear. I may do an acid wash to get maybe another 4-5 years out, but we will most likely go with a pebble sheen and I will have the coping redone. Our coping was pre-cast and it really hasn't lasted like I thought.
Kind of wish we did just poured concrete. Oh well. Live and learn.

Whoever you have build your pool, know they all use the same contractors but go see some finished work, have your wife with you and make decisions together. but seriously look at finished work and different styles.

Before and after...

I remember your pool remodel from here. Looks great! Love the lights. Sitting on my couch you can see the pool and yard and I never turn on the light in my pool. It's on the pool equipment way in the back. It will be quite the view with new lights and colors. Have a feeling its going to be 100K +! Ouch! So far we opting out on the jacuzzi. Thanks for the reply.

My remodel was $92K. CA Pools said it would have been cheaper to build what we have now from scratch. The Jacuzzi addition added $25K. We were right about about $60K...then said Eff it..if we're gonna do this...LET'S DO THIS and added in the jacuzzi and BBQ/Bar
We love it...LOL...we better for that price!
Haha
