I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the new owners of Glamisdunes.com, Dave Johnson and Chris Leach.  Most of you know Dave as River Dave, owner of RDP, River Daves Place.  Chris Leach works with Dave at events and as a professional auctioneer.

I’ve gotten to know Dave the last couple weeks, and what I have taken from our time together, is that he is a very good, decent, and respectable man, and I am proud to now call him my friend.  We had a very good meeting over the weekend at my place, and we were accompanied, of course, by our better halves, Jen and Stacey, our wives; they kept us in check, because both of us can easily jump off the rails...  We discussed quite a bit about Glamisdunes.com’s legacy and culture, and I can tell you now, her future looks very bright, and there is no better people to take the wheel than River Dave and Chris Leach to bring Glamisdunes.com back to her full glory and beyond; BIGGER AND BETTER.   Dave, what a pleasure it has been getting to know you these last couple weeks, and thank you for stepping into the driver’s seat of this beautiful place called Glamisdunes.com.  Chris, I’m sure I will be meeting you soon, and from what Dave has told me about you, you are a standup guy, and I am looking forward to shaking your hand.  And I would love to hear you work that auctioneer magic.

Please, everybody join in with me in giving a warm welcome to the new owners of Glamisdunes.com, River Dave Johnson and Devious Chris Leach.

Devious Chris isn't in this pic, maybe we can photoshop him in... :dude: LOL

Welcome Dave & Chris!  I've been a member here for just a little longer than I've been on RDP and I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys do with the place.

Thank you for everything @sndsamplr, I wouldn't trade the friends and memories I've made because of this site for anything!

I appreciate the warm welcome!   Both Chris and I have big plan for this place and for the future!

What I can tell you is my IT guys for rdp have already begun work and are developing themes for xenforo which is the software we will be migrating too.   It is easier to navigate and jives with the modern phones a lot better.  We will soon have a front page with desert content (featured builds industry news etc) and as always are looking for staff writers and contributors!

When we first migrate to xenforo the website will be offline for 12-18 hrs..  (maybe less). At which point we will be on an intro theme that will be developed over the next few weeks.

We intend to honor the legacy of glamisdunes.com while also hoping to bring it into the modern age where various social medias and seo help it grow into a new and improved version.

In short it is our hope to MAKE GLAMISDUNES.com GREAT AGAIN!

Congrats to you! - Bonus points if your IT guys can retrieve the data that was lost with the site crashed a few years back...that would be awesome for all.  A lot of historical knowledge was lost.

I look forward to becoming a positive part of this group. I was talking to Tim Gantz yesterday and absolutely could not say enough good things about this group and everything y’all have done out in Glamis!!

Welcome Dave and Chris. Exciting times ahead Gd.com the old girl needs a good polishing up and I am looking forward to seeing what it's going to become. This board has been part of my life for 24 years and I can say I have made a family out of it..

Congratulations Rob on a smooth transition of your baby, I have always said what you created was an amazing thing that not only help preserve Mother Glamis but brought countless members into a family with an unmatched history of gatherings,  friendships and memories. I am proud to call you my best friend and can't wait to see what you come up with next.. PGA champ??? 🏆
