I think that is an excellent idea 

with their warranty and customer service not thinking they would want to discount but hey you never know 

I broke one of mine off right above the mount on a low tree branch on a trail here in Oregon gave them a call and they had me ship both back so they could check them out sent me the one new one and said the other was good at no charge that was 3 years ago still going strong I did spring mount them to help out but they have taken a beating on the trails I also run their day time whips to help the lighted ones last longer but super happy with their products 

 
@5150 Whips I have a warranty repair coming your way, what is the best way or what do you suggest for packaging for shipment? 

 
Please make sure you are sending in both whips as we make everything by hand and we need its pair , also download our warranty form and send that in with the package. I always recommend pvc pipe as it is inexpensive and can be utilized in the future to store your whips
