Remembering Ruth Taylor, who passed this day April 12, 1984. Taylor acted for only 5 years from 1925 to 1930. Her most famous role was in the silent version of "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" (1928) Sadly, the film is considered lost, with only a few stills existing. She appeared in a few Pre-Code films, then married and retired. Her life was a happy one in Palm Springs with her husband and son - who grew up to be rather famous himself - writer/actor/director Buck Henry.
