old air cooled bug motor

So the trans had no oil in it with the motor in and ready to run ? I'm wondering if someone tried to start and run the motor also with no oil in it. 

Two hands and a 3-foot breaker bar sounds like more than rust in the cylinders  :classic_sad: hope I am wrong for ya.

Keep trying oil and turning usually after the initial break-free it starts to rotate much easier if its just rust

 
Pull the alt belt off also. Sometimes the shoud gets bent and the fan will rub. Probably not your problem but worth a shot

 
belts off, put Marvels in it last night, its starting to turn over a little with only one arm on the breaker bar, baby steps ??
