No body ever told me... I found out for myself

GLAMIS WEATHER
OZZY going solo was pivotal time in my life, going from Elementary school (4th) to jr. high school (5th) and Blizzard of OZ came out.

Every Metalhead in our neighborhood went nuts.

I think I bought an adult cigarette about that time as well, memory is hazy at best HAH.

All these songs still bring up allot of memories. Sorting seeds on ablum covers, etc.

Out of all the bands I wished I would have seen, this is the top one. Not sure what I was thinking back then, heck I saw just about everyone else. Ozzy was in a class of his own.

Caught him in St Louis ~92 on his first Retirement Tour... it was first time all of the Black Sabbath boys back together on stage and it was amazing. Then joined the Corps and made it to SoCal in time to catch his Retirement Sucks tour in 94 and once again he brought all the Sabbath boys back.

The show in St Louis was at Riverport Amphitheater and I was there in 91 for the GnR riot... we ended up with a pair of seats that were ripped out of there during the riot in the living room of our towwnhouse... caught a lot of shows at that place around that time, Ozzy was the best though.

Saw him at the Long Beach Arena the day New Year's Eve in 1988 with Lita Ford and Anthrax opening.

march 1986, my grandpa worked this concert. he said get there early and i'll let you in. it was standing room only on the floor. me and my buddy the only 2 in the arena. then people start running in. I'm front row center, Metallica opened. That's why i was there, and ozzy got booed.
The next day i called grandpa to thank him, and he said there was some guy with a crazy accent on a treadmill next to my door (he was retired and was a ticket taker at concerts and events at this venue). I showed him a pic, he said ya that was him. It was ozzy!!

Rad Grandpa! Epic story.

Missed the Fox Theater show in San Diego back in 81, That was my only chance to have seen Randy. I can't remember why I didn't go, sure wish I had.
Got to see him for the first time at the US Festival, again for the Bark at the Moon tour in Phx, again for the No More Tours and one last time with Sabbath for The End tour.

Dude, he played in San Bernardino at The Swing Auditorium, six of us made it there and back in my buddy’s 68 Bug.
Great venue for top talent coming to So Cal without the hassle of going into LA. The band Motörhead must of had compromising pictures of someone high up though, they opened up for EVERYONE that played there. I must have seen Motörhead 40 times!

I was too young to experience the Ozzy era that most of you were fortunate to have seen. However, I did pick up on him around 1990 and was always impressed with Randy's sound.

I fell into the Sepultura, Pantera, White Zombie, Primus, Faith No More, Megadeth, 80's Metallica, etc. scene.

Always thought Randy was the reason for Ozzy's solo success, though...
