I would have died if Mark and Scat didn't make me eat something. That said, pretty certain it was 1100% Mark's fault that I got wound up in the first place! I was actually just taking my shoes off to crawl into the sleeping bag in the bed of my truck and call it an early night when Joe found me and said "Mark just got here and is looking for you"... it was a deep sigh and putting my shoes back on because I knew what was about to unleashed upon the world...

Uhhh back to the lights….
I bought my car with a big rigid light bar but put the original HID light bar back on because it looks cooler. I turn the lights out to the side to see where I’m turning.
I have the xl80 ambers in the front that do awesome and just tabbed a single setup in the middle for a big LP8 in the center like @longhaul73 has on his.
I have a nice light setup so I’m always forced to lead at night.

Curious what others have for their light setup. I see some pretty bright lights coming over the hills at night, I wanna know what other people are running to produce that much light.

Well that too, I dont want the best light set up in the group so I dont always lead lmao. These old eyes aint the same so just need good lights.

Onyx6, or XL80s like you already have, make a shitload of light.

LPs are impressive, but don't really have the throw the higher wattage/LED XL or Onyx6 lines do.
 
This is a side by side thread but looks like other people putting their buggy photos...

The most important thing in my opinion on a light bar is to NOT have the hood of your car lit up...I can't understand it how some people tolerate a light bar on the front of the roof - it looks the best, but the entire hood of the car is lit up...Imagine having your entire hood of your streetcar lit up and trying to drive down a freeway - your vision would be severally affected and you'd look like a fool.

I went with the baja designs linkable light bar mainly because they were the exact correct width for my car...The downside is the linkable lights are somewhat street rated, so they do not put out the same amount of light as an OG XL80. I also put it back such that the hood is not lit up,

The small fronts are squadrons - they fit the area nicely...I changed to amber lenses...this was the first time I've had amber lenses - awesome difference in dusty conditions. I've since added amber lenses to the 2 outer lights on the lightbar. I'm happy with the looks and results....though I wish 2 XL80s in the front would look good - it just wouldn't, too big.
