New RV endorsement laws

But but but.. If I have a Class A I can only be .04BAC... another internet legend.

I'll believe it's being enforced when I see an actual ticket posted. Kinda like when people say the non-pass ticket is $300-$500. BS, got one a few years ago and it was $100. Plus a $10 late fee cause I forgot pay it. Imperial Sheriff's sent a nice letter saying hey man, pay this please. So I did.

Mean time I'll just keep my Class A CDL and not worry about towing any of my triple axle trailers.
Yep that there is the answer, the only thing I did not get with my license was Haz mat, and hauling people in a bus. Now I can drive pretty much anything on the street

I've had my Class A 1995.  Class A, M1, HazMat, Tanker, Passenger, Doubles/Triples, all of them except for Nuclear (need to actually work for a Nuke transport business to have that license).  I worked at the Jet Propulsion Labratory (JPL) in Pasadena in the Transportation Dept and we moved everything from a piece of paper to satellites.  We also had buses and did plenty of HazMat stuff.  Haven't had a job that required at CDL since 2003 but I've kept it as a back up plan should the need arise.  The Passenger endorsement was nice for a few months when I drove a limo for some extra cash about 10 years ago.  I've got some great stories from the Hollywood scene.

Reminds me that I need to renew my license before my birthday in March.  The notice said I need to take the written test for HazMat, which has been the rule post 9/11.  I think I need to renew my HME with the TSA as well.  Thanks Osama.

I’ve had my class A CDL since 1997. I let my hazmat go a few years ago cause I was tired of having to take the damn test to keep renewing my license!

It can be annoying.  Just made my appointment to renew my HME and will need to bring my CDL, birth certificate and $86.  Thought about letting it go but 5 or so years ago my wife got pulled over in Glamis by BLM while driving my truck with four fuel drums in the back.  D!ckhead asked to see the pass, which was on the windshield, then said you know it's illegal to carry more then 100 gallons of fuel without a placard.  My wife (now ex) said yeah Fed Boi I know, my husband has a Class A wth HazMat and those drums are empty.  He told her to have a nice evening.
