So we just got notice that as of July 31, all food waste has to go in the yard waste can!

For Anaheim that is the brown can.

Ok, fine whatever...but oh it's not that simple. Must be loose or in a paper bag... :simrak:

Who has paper bags??

So we have just been throwing whatever food in the yard waste.

Well, now we have flies and I even bury it under the grass clippings...

Oh and this morning, EFFIGN Maggots!

What in the F**KITY F**K F**K?????

So, for you who are in the same area, what are you doing?

I'm gonna try a separate can with a trash bag and dump all food waste in there, then when the trash goes out, dump it in the yard waste and throw the bag in the black!

I may just buy a bundle of paper bags so at least its not just exposed when dumped in.

Who the eff came up with this? I get it cause it decomposes, but now its an effing hassle with attracting flies and effing maggots now!

:kenk:

Yep....it's a pain in the ass!
Smart & Final has brown paper bags....

Rumor is they will be random checking our cans and the first fine is $100  :explode:

So nice to see the peasants complying with the rules the idiotic ruling class has put in place.

Compliance is the first step

Vote out those people

Garbage disposal....toilet
Negative...Paid almost 11K to have my main line hydro jetted and epoxy lined 3 years ago.

No food down the garbage disposal...ZERO!

I'd be leery about the toilet with food as well.

And as @Meter Tech said, they will be random checking cans. Yep first is $100 fine...second is I think $200...and so on!

Eff these People!

This is a state thing. We got the notice down here a while back. After I saw the trash truck pick up and dump my grey trash bin then move 3 feet forward and grab the blue recycle bin and dump it on top of the trash he just put in the truck, I've opted to not follow their protocol.

Exactly!

WTF??? What difference does it effing make if they are dumping the different kinds of trash on top of each other anyways!

I do know the brown trashcan (yard waste one)...is a separate truck, but the black (trash) and Green (recycle) I think is the same truck... :simrak:

Yeah, I know the yard waste is a different truck here, it's always picked up later in the day. Interesting how the colors are so different depending where you are. Ours are grey for trash, blue for recycle and green for yard waste.

coming back from AZ yesterday on the 10 was a guy hauling like 6 pallets of crushed and tied alum cans..... Im sure it was a scam....to bring them in from AZ......so bold....

Meanwhile, this what I saw on two of my cams this morning when I woke up (took 3 days off the gym to recoup).   :rotf:

And a big rate increase to cover costs of this B.S. recycling program. Just like SDG&E and the water districts, the more you save the higher the rates increases 🤬🤬

Start dumping on the street.  All the bums get to do it.

If yore lucky, they'll sell you back the compost they MIGHT make out of it.

This is a chit show, I’m in riverside county home and business on same property and here is what they want from us.

we have a 4 yard dumpster currently for all waste.

no cardboard in container

no green waste in container

no food in container

no bottles or cans in container.

no pallets or wood.

Riverside county does subsidize or mandate that waste management provide these services though, and we have to provide a trail of where it is all going for a yearly audited

we cannot get a recycling container, we have to take it ourself and we have to keep an audited trail with receipts for everything that needs recycling.

same with wire and cans and bottles

same with green waste, we asked about this and they don’t offer anything whether we have regular cans or not

no clue on the food, I gave up on listening

Keep in mind this is home and business. What a complete waste of time and energy

Food scraps and dog shit go in the yard waste bin....it's nasty a week later.

We hose out the bins more often now, hate flies.

Stupid ass ideas that cost us more and are an inconvenience to everyone.

But the trash company gets to charge more, more fees to state, etc...

Pure Money 💰 scam...

in our neighborhood they just "gave" us the "Green Bin" (we already had the blue & black) that is to be picked up every week.

they "gave" us a nice bucket to sit on your counter top to collect your food scraps so you can layer it into your green Bin for pickup every week.  the bucket works pretty well to wash the car with .................  just sayin.

If the line is lined you should be GTG.

Why would yo worry about food in the toilet?  It ends up there anyway...
