So I finally got my build money looking for suggestion so I would like to run the new Chevy 632 big block so what would u guys run for trans going to be in Tatum trx what would u guys recomend

Big Blocks were tried about 15 years ago.
Seems like most had issues, hard on CV's, hard on transaxles etc.
The LS platform is the way to go.

Yeah but the rumble of a big block sounds so awesome probably have to go with series 30 CV's so what trans would be best

Weddle S4/S5 with 934's would be the trans to start with. Are you looking at the GM crate 632 NA motor?

Yes the fuel injected 632 by gm performance it's eather that or a 427ls3 it's rated at 650hp and probably throw a supercharger I'm looking for 1000hp

Now your getting into the bigger transaxles. S4D S5D and up.

Ls7 block 4.130 bore

Callies magnum 4” stroke crankshaft

Callies ultra H-Beam rods

JE pistons

Cbm cam, ls7 lifters

Cloyes Z chain timing chain

Cbm pro X ls3 heads. Stock rockers with upgraded trunions

Whipple 4.5l with intercooler.

Also have the mefi and harness that came with it.

$40k OBO

Has it already been dyno tuned and broken in and where are u located and who is the builder

With a big block I’d say go with an Albins. Maybe even a torque converter unless you want to wheelie easily.

It was a one season engine. I bought it and part of the deal was it had to pass inspection. It had 2 valves that were leaking on the leak down test. Seller paid to have it torn down. Adam at Kali Kustoms went thru it. New bearings, seals, gaskets, timing chain, honed and rings, valve job etc. Nothing changed in dimensions. Located at Kali kustoms in Westminster Ca.

With a big block you need an Albins or the new fortin. I would run a torque converter if I was you.

Adam is a solid dude. He also does great work.

Not one call to the phone on this topic? Jeez, drop the major trans supplier from your screen name and everyone forgets about you. Don't worry, I'm still here to help when needed.

It all depends on how far you want to go with the 632. Here are the basics:

Weddle S4/S5 (10" R&P) are really only good to about 700 HP/TQ at the crank in a common sand car. R&P becomes the weak link with that much power. I have always told people that if you plan on having anymore than 600 HP/TQ (crank), then you need to be looking at Albins AGB or Weddle S4D/S5D.

Albins has become the standard unit for big power cars for the past 20 years now. They have proven their reliability to about 1500 HP/TQ for most people. The "ballers" out there pushing 2000 HP/TQ have certainly been pushing the limits on the Albins. I've seen a few 3rd/4th gears break in them with a short amount of use. But, when you throw that kind of power at a gear that was originally designed around a Porsche G50 transaxle and 300 HP, I will say they certainly exceed what they are really designed to handle.

Do not discount the Weddle S4D trans for big power. They have been proving their reliability over the past few years after all of the work that Weddle has put into them (I know because I was a part of that). The only real downside to the S4D is the open diff versus the Torsen diff in the Albins (stronger, LSD type traction). I would say the Weddle S4D has a reliability factor to about 1300 HP/TQ (crank), but there are a few that have pushed them closer to 2000 HP/TQ and have had success. All in all, there are relatively minor differences between them, and the cost of the Weddle S4D is very attractive and allows you to spend that budget elsewhere (like a proper containment sean, helmet, and neck restraint!!!)

I think anyone that is pushing into the 1800+ HP/TQ range really needs to be going with a torque converter. They drastically help relieve shock loads and stress on just about every drivetrain component, inluding engines. They can be easily tuned to change stall speeds and how they engage. Quite a lot has changed and been improved on since Aaron did a converter in the Green Machine car 15 years ago. Both the Albins and S4D have ready to install torque converter packages for LS and Big Block engine packages.
